Westfield Schools

At a time when so many schools are struggling, Morningside Elementary continues to do an outstanding job of teaching students in all grades responsibility for always doing the right thing and for making the 'right' decisions on food choices, sleep habits and exercise. The facility is always clean and attractive and the staff seems focused on involving parents in the education of their children. We sincerely love Morningside Elementary.

There is not enough reasons to give why this is a great school. From the principal to the faculty they all make my kids feel welcome, important, smart, and wanting to learn. My kids cry if they miss a day of school. I highly recommend this school!

Let's see start with the positive:The curriculum is demanding and requires my son to apply himself daily to ensure he gets a good grade. He is given the tools needed and the material covered is fairly balanced.The school campus is adequate, focusing resources on maintaining educational neceseties rather than "nice to have" (huge sports facilities and etc..) Now for the raison d'être of this review; bullying and the "small pond / big fish" nature of The Westfield School.If you find yourself relocating from a big city and or are a well-traveled, i.e., cultured individual. You will soon notice the glaring sectarian nature of the school. Your kid(s) are the outsider and the students, whose grandparents, parents, uncles who also attended this school, will make sure to painfully remind your kid(s) that they "are not from around here" by constantly harrasing and bullying your child.And on account of the above you and your kid(s) will sadly experience the infamous Orwellian quote "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others". The Westfield School administration will address the bullying/harassment of your child, depending of course of the perpetrator. The solution, luckily for you, is just donate more money than the aforementioned individual's family. So pull some overtime at work and or go to your local pawn shop.I was warned about this situation by a friend, and in my obstinacy, I still registered my son in this school. Foolishly and conceited believing that any private school is better than public. But as the good book says "Pride goeth before destruction..."So allow me to give you the same warning as my friend did, and I hope you learn from my folly. Reconsider your decision and if possible find another institution.I support and agree with other reviews in this and any other platform when it comes to the bullying in this school and the lack of resolute actions.
