Read what parents are saying about Mccleskey Middle SchoolThe front office could be more welcoming. Teachers were caring and effective; the academics were average. The band program is amazing, above average. My son experienced some bullying that wasn't handled well, but he learned to stay away from the offending kid. The school always felt safe and my child always felt safe at school.

Posted by a parent on 11/7/20222 daughters with one recent graduate have been to this middle school. The staff is great, teachers are very good and do their best. I cannot deny some issues with students (Some stupid teenagers troublemakers) but the administration took seriously each case. And the school does not offer a lot of activities that could lead to some boredom (Not the only one though). However, my 2 daughters have never been in trouble or experienced issues with other students. They had their different favorite classes and teachers. I would say this school deserves more like a 8 or 9 if only about staff and safety.
Posted by a parent on 5/29/2022You will regret sending your child to this school. The administration is incompetent. My child has been assaulted multiple times and the administration acts as if it’s their fault. The teachers aren’t in control of the classroom. The school needs new leadership .

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter only attended this school for a year, not for any negative reasons, but rather we were buying our time to transfer her into Marietta Center for Advanced Academics (Out of District) for their certified Stem Program. Since, she only attended for a year, then I cannot provide a holistic review of the elementary path she would have taken her, but from the start, I can say it was a much better improvement than the time at Addison Elementary. The school was rather new, and likely still is about 3 years ago now from this writing. I think a new building also really breathes new life into the people that want to come and teach our children to learn new things. I can honestly say that this was the sentiment we felt. The coursework seemed above average from what you would come expect in a district with high rankings for their schools. The carpool is a question, I am sure most people are curious about at any school, but this one after a few days of trying it out is structured well. We had no issues with the teachers or administration. My favorite two observations about the school, the first being the priority is the security in place from the entrance to deter a mass tragedy. It is not something any parent wants to think too much about, but being in a country with the bountiful freedoms we enjoy with good or bad mental states, this must be at the fore front of all parents minds. Luckily, they have a great system for this. If you ever tour the school, it will be the first thing you learn. My second favorite thing about the school is the party they have for the kids towards the end of the year. I have never had so much fun on a party bus, yes a party bus that they rent out. It is such a joy to treat the kids with at least a bit of fun after working so hard during the year. Overall, the school gets an A+ in my book. If MCAA, had not worked out, then we would of had our daughter just attend here for 3 years.Parent Review1y ago - Keheley Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with Davis Elementary was nothing short of spectacular. The administrative staff, teachers, and all supporting staff created an enriching and safe environment for my children. The teachers at Davis Elementary foster classrooms that emphasize collaboration, curious learning, and positivity. They also offer extra help for the struggling students during the school year and summer months. Davis Elementary makes sure that all of their students and families feel welcome and give them a place to thrive. I am thankful my all children got to go through this school.Parent Review9mo ago - Addison Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI highly recommend this school. My family has had children at Addison Elementary School for almost ten years. The teachers are wonderful and the Administrative team, Jill Spiva and Michelle Gillham, are thoughtful leaders who continue to push the school forward with higher expectations of staff and students. You won't find a more friendly and professional front office staff!Parent Review5mo ago - Nicholson Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was in Nicholson elementary (k-3) and it was 4 of the best years of my life. The kids were kind I found it easy to make new friends and easy to learn and connect with teachers at a young age. After 3rd grade I went to a different school in a different town, and It was a culture shock. I felt like I could fit in with the kids and I became silent and here I am in 9th grade at River ridge high, and with pride I can easily say that Nicholson elementary is the best school I’ve been to so farOther Review1y ago - Blackwell Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been going to this school since she was in Kindergarten we've never really had any issues up until fourth grade. She ended with the worse set of teachers, they bully the children an say hateful things to the students an piggyback off of each other. An when confronted they lie and act like nothing ever happened. These two ladies should consider retirement. I wouldn't say this is the worse school but if you can avoid this set of fourth grade teachers please do!!Parent Review11mo ago - The Garden School
