Read what parents are saying about Lassiter High SchoolThis school is completely infested with drugs. There seem to be little repercussions- perhaps the scope is beyond what the administration can control. The principal does not seem engaged at all. Much of the staff seems to just show up and do the bare minimum (there are a few exceptional exceptions). Teachers have slammed their car doors into other cars and just walked away, not caring if they damaged another person's property. Administrators have yelled at students accusing them of "faking" choking as the kid collapses on the ground. Maybe this is the fate of every public school, but it's not a safe environment, much less one conducive to learning.
Posted by a parent on 2/9/2024It was a great school for our children! A great Band Program that teaches about “excellence” and teamwork as much as it does the finer points of music. The German program was also stellar. Thank you again to the Special Education teachers here and at Garrison Mill!!!!
Posted by a parent on 9/13/2020This school is awful. Bullying is bad. The Asians are the bullies at this school. They say how stupid Americans are and how they’re happy their dad took away jobs from Americans. They also talk about how much they hate America. We’re moving because the administration won’t do anything.
Posted by a parent on 12/1/2018Best 4 years of my life. All students are well behaved and those who aren't are felt with privately and efficiently. Great administrative group.
Posted by a student on 8/27/2017Both my kids did well at Lassiter for different reasons, one being uninvolved in extracurricular activities and the other being highly involved. The BIGGEST plus is that the teachers at Lassiter really care if the children learn and they make efforts to make it interesting and challenging. One of my kids was highly involved in band, and I DO recommend this avenue for any child who wants/needs an instant place to belong. I found the academics to be rigorous but not impossible, and we had an overall positive experience at this great school!

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter only attended this school for a year, not for any negative reasons, but rather we were buying our time to transfer her into Marietta Center for Advanced Academics (Out of District) for their certified Stem Program. Since, she only attended for a year, then I cannot provide a holistic review of the elementary path she would have taken her, but from the start, I can say it was a much better improvement than the time at Addison Elementary. The school was rather new, and likely still is about 3 years ago now from this writing. I think a new building also really breathes new life into the people that want to come and teach our children to learn new things. I can honestly say that this was the sentiment we felt. The coursework seemed above average from what you would come expect in a district with high rankings for their schools. The carpool is a question, I am sure most people are curious about at any school, but this one after a few days of trying it out is structured well. We had no issues with the teachers or administration. My favorite two observations about the school, the first being the priority is the security in place from the entrance to deter a mass tragedy. It is not something any parent wants to think too much about, but being in a country with the bountiful freedoms we enjoy with good or bad mental states, this must be at the fore front of all parents minds. Luckily, they have a great system for this. If you ever tour the school, it will be the first thing you learn. My second favorite thing about the school is the party they have for the kids towards the end of the year. I have never had so much fun on a party bus, yes a party bus that they rent out. It is such a joy to treat the kids with at least a bit of fun after working so hard during the year. Overall, the school gets an A+ in my book. If MCAA, had not worked out, then we would of had our daughter just attend here for 3 years.Parent Review1y ago - Garrison Mill Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with Davis Elementary was nothing short of spectacular. The administrative staff, teachers, and all supporting staff created an enriching and safe environment for my children. The teachers at Davis Elementary foster classrooms that emphasize collaboration, curious learning, and positivity. They also offer extra help for the struggling students during the school year and summer months. Davis Elementary makes sure that all of their students and families feel welcome and give them a place to thrive. I am thankful my all children got to go through this school.Parent Review9mo ago - Addison Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI highly recommend this school. My family has had children at Addison Elementary School for almost ten years. The teachers are wonderful and the Administrative team, Jill Spiva and Michelle Gillham, are thoughtful leaders who continue to push the school forward with higher expectations of staff and students. You won't find a more friendly and professional front office staff!Parent Review4mo ago - Shallowford Falls Elementary School
