John Robert Lewis Elementary School

My ten year old son went to this school for 2 months we pulled him out cause the other students were physicaly abusive and the teachers language would make a sailor blush!!! I have three words that accurately describe this horrible school... SHUT IT DOWN!!!! Any parent that reads this and willingly sends thier kid(s) there are out of thier minds.

So they removed my original review, my grandson was bullied and nothing was done to the other child. Don't send your children to this school. My daughter in law moved and now they are going to another school and that is how they finally got peace.

I am at the close of 9 years of being a Panda parent. 3 very different kids all went to Vineville K-5 nd each had a different wonderful experience. My oldest (male) excelled at visual art and was encouraged to pursue his talents. He was also in the gifted program and was really challenged to be organized and disciplined. Most years his teachers relished his "boy" behavoir and found creative ways to redirct him and use his mischeviousness as a teaching tool. My second (female) had real struggles in learning. She recieved individualized attention--long before she was on an IEP--and discipline was handled very fairly with her. My youngest (female) is the mean student in testing and simply thrived in everyway at Vineville. She made great friends, discovered talents in visual art and drama, and had teachers she adored and who adored her. I know no school is perfect and Vineville is not either but we had an incredible experience there for 9 years. I wish every school was Vineville.

This school is GREAT!!! My kids are thriving and learning a lot! A lot of parents immediately get drawn by the Prestige of the other better known private schools in the area, but don't let "Popularity" be the deciding factor. SPCC is not big compared to St Joseph and the others, and it might not have the best facilities.They do have a lot of great teachers who are really invested in the growth of the kids!
