My main issue with this school has been with the front office staff, both during events and at other times. There has been an instance where I truly felt that race played a factor in how I was treated, which is very concerning. (And other parents sharing my race) I believe everyone should be treated fairly and equally, but I have noticed that rules are not applied consistently and seem to be enforced selectively.I am also a very non-confrontational person, so feeling singled out or mistreated as a parent who is simply involved and cares about her children is both confusing and upsetting.My oldest son has attended this school for the past two years, where he has excelled and was accepted into the gifted program. My younger son, currently in kindergarten, has also excelled and was accepted into the gifted program. Their time and growth at this school are very important to me.I do appreciate that the school offers enjoyable PTA events, and the teachers have always communicated well with me.Aside from my concerns with the front office staff, I am happy with the education my children are receiving.

My child has attended Bay Creek all three years of middle school and I honestly can’t tell you what he has learned but hey. There has been times when I have spoken directly to the teacher about my child for that teacher to tell another teacher and my child be gained up on! Very unprofessional! The school seems to run like a prison! They have “steps” before ISS and out of school suspension however, you can earn a step by dropping food on the floor and not picking it up! A student was suspended for laughing to loud in the BATHROOM! Not only is this school for seemingly kids who need correction they had no 8th grade dance nor an 8th grade graduation for 23-24 school year! A memory that my child will never have frommiddle school. I have a kindergartener and I am looking else where for his middle school education if Bay Creek doesn’t change don’t get me wrong I appreciate the boundaries but it seems a little much in some circumstances

I am very concerned about the culture and professionalism at this school. In my family’s experience, there have been repeated issues that raise serious questions about ethics, equity, and respect for students and families.My child has shared multiple concerns about staff asking probing, inappropriate questions about her personal life that go beyond what is relevant for school. She has also perceived comments and interactions that feel racially biased and insensitive. When I brought these concerns to school administration, I did not feel they were taken seriously or addressed in a transparent, solutions-focused way.As a parent, I expect a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive environment where students are treated with dignity and staff maintain clear professional and ethical boundaries. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience here so far. I am requesting that the school and district carefully review these concerns, provide appropriate training and accountability for staff, and take meaningful steps to ensure all students are treated fairly and respectfully, regardless of race or background.

Excellent!!! We have enjoyed all the middle school years here. This school allows children to be children. All the kids still seem to have their innocence and seem very happy!
