5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, all I can say is if you are looking to fail your children, send them to this school. I held on for as long as I could, because the options were slim to none in Clayton County. I decided to homeschool this upcoming year, because of my experience at this school. My son is on the spectrum, but he is highly functional, which made their jobs a bit easier you would think, nope. I could barely work because I had to come to that school so much. I would come and sit in the principal’s office to watch videos of children putting their hands on my child, getting bullied and anytime he tried defending himself. He was suspended. Teachers yelling and talking disrespectfully and degrading children. Your child will literally be failing, and nobody will contact you unless the principal forces them to. I will say this they have a phenomenal new principal and though her heart is pure and she’s trying to do everything the right way it’s going to take a few years to get that school to function ethically. My child had nightmares over the summer because of the abuse endured at this school. In one incident, a teacher just watched and refused to assist. My son dropped his tray in the lunchroom and it hit the cafeteria lady and she told him she wanted to slap him in the face so bad. I would not recommend the school to my enemy and I feel passionately about that. If this is your school of choice, remember you were warned.Parent Review3mo ago8 Reviews - Kemp Primary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a single mom with two boys—one with special needs—moving from Florida to Georgia, I was initially nervous and anxious. My first impression of the school and classroom was positive; it was big, clean, and well-maintained compared to the schools my kids attended in Titusville and Spring Hill. I was impressed. The substitute and teachers were very friendly, and my autistic son with ADHD didn’t seem unhappy, unlike his experiences at previous schools. So far, in the first two weeks, I haven’t received any calls to pick him up early, which is a relief. However, something concerning happened yesterday during a storm. Around 1 PM, we had a tornado warning with strong winds and heavy rain. Despite this, the schools decided it was safe to keep the kids there. On my way to pick up my son, the road was blocked by a fire truck, and the school did not notify parents about this situation. This caused significant delays, leaving many parents, including myself, stuck in the school parking lot. Because of this, I was late picking up my first son at Kemp and my second son at another school 20 minutes away. The school’s lack of communication and preparedness for severe weather was incredibly frustrating and stressful. In Florida, schools send alerts to parents when a storm is approaching, allowing them to pick up their children early for safety reasons. Florida experiences more severe hurricanes and tornadoes, yet they prioritize children’s safety better than what I’ve experienced here. I’m truly shocked and disappointed by this system.Additionally, the school does not allow my autistic son to bring a toy or comfort item from home or wear a shirt without a collar, despite his sensory issues. His teacher mentioned he could change into a more comfortable shirt once inside, but overall, the rules feel unnecessarily strict.Parent Review1y ago17 Reviews - Grace Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been great for my kids. The curriculum is tough, so you definitely have to stay involved, but it pushes the students to really earn their grades. The teachers are awesome and keep parents in the loop—my daughter’s teacher even texts me if she’s running late!My kids are on scholarship and have never been treated any differently. They’re also involved in several after-school activities, which they love. The school is on the smaller side, but it’s growing.Parent Review1y ago4 Reviews
