My highschool age son said his friends seem to always be in iss due to crazy things like their shirt was untucked while in iss they are not given a chance to complete their class work and results in poor grades the teachers apologize to the students saying they have no say in this if a child is properly dressed for school and ready to learn they should be given the opportunity instead of it being taken away by petty uniform violation's

I think Claxton High school has a wonderful administration and does a great job at handling discipline. They also do a great job at challenging all students and giving them the opportunities that are needed at every level.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageClaxton Elementary is the absolute worst school my child has attended. There is little to no diversity within the teaching staff, and it has always been this way. The majority of the students who are minorities do not get the opportunity to learn from teachers that look like them. There are a plethora of overly qualified, and exceptionally gifted minority teachers that are not selected to teach there. The principal has done a poor job of seeing to it that the virtual students receive a top education, as well as socialization while students and parents both deal with the new normal from Covid-19. I have spent hundreds of dollars to ensure that my child does not fall behind. Additionally, there's no way that the virtual school aka PLP platform can work without the full guidance and instruction of the parent/guardian.
