0 - this school might have once been “the best around”, but that ship has sailed. The gossiping is not even hidden. The things they think are said in private are quickly repeated to others. Just as with gossip and those who do it: the person who listens to gossip, repeats said gossip. You cannot trust those who listen or spread it. This school is a throw-back to high school and all of the many woes involved. The teachers being the high school girls. The worst of the bunch is the guidance counselor. The ONE person who should be the best example of how life should look and feel is the worst of the lot. She should absolutely be ashamed. She practices a safeguarded method of bullying on the children with constant smart alec remarks and “smacks” on the heads. The job of a counselor is to show honor, respect, and appropriateness. None of these things can be said of her character. She truly is not “in her calling”. She is the opposite of what a guidance counselor should be. If a parent is a volunteer at the school all requests (to have or not have certain teachers) are followed without question. The parents that volunteer are also privy to information about other students that is a complete violation of policy. This leans back on the validation they seek by having the newest gossip to spread. It makes them the “popular girl”. While I think the admins at greatschools will not post this review, I implore you to click “approve” so that other parents can know the truth of this toxic environment before they send the youngest (as small as 4 years old) of their hearts here.
