Posted by a parent on 1/9/2026Under new management beginning 24-25 school year. Several longtime staff members left within the 1st semester. Joyless, punitive climate stifles students and the great teachers trying to get through the day for the sake of the kids. Suggest commuting from Richmond Hill or St Mary’s if possible.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is in 1st grade here and she had an amazing Kidnergarten experience. She had an excellent teacher. Coming into 1st grade she is currently being evaluated for the gifted program as she is reading way beyond her reading level. This school does a great job of planning activities for the children that involves parents. And it is not hard to access the teacher if you need to have a discussion. The communication is pretty solid. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYou can’t have a professional job because you never know if the boys and girls club at Burroughs-Molette elementary is going to pick up your child or not. You fill out a large packet, asking for your number and your email multiple times. The only problem is that they never use it to actually communicate with the parents.
