10 out of 10! The teachers adjust school work and assignments based on students needs. The character education program is better than I’ve seen at the any of the other 6 schools my children have attended.

We have not had a pleasant experience with this school. Our child had too much homework and she was only in kindergarten. Bullying was not dealt with properly. There is not much diversity and there is a very cliquey feel. Having moved from Fulton county to Oconee "for the schools" was not a good decision for us. There is a tremendous amount of focus and energy on testing and keeping the "great school" image rather than actual learning. We have since moved to Timothy Elementary in Athens where our children are thriving.

As a parent of 3 I can tell you first hand this is by far the best Elementary School any of my children have attended. This includes Jefferson City Elementary in Jefferson, Timothy Elementary in Athens, and Oglethorpe Elementary in Athens. We have been very involved and the children not only are pushed to excel but they are free from bullying which was not taken seriously in the Athens schools. My children also have additional learning needs which have been handled very well as they also were in the Jefferson City School. We moved to Oconee from Clarke County for the schools and because our issues (bullying of our children) were not promptly dealt with by Clarke County Administrators. We have never been happier and prefer the strong Science and Math offered by the Public Schools vs. the local Private Schools.

My husband and I visited RBES to eat lunch with our granddaughters for Grandparents Week. We were very impressed with all aspects of your school: the security measures (while at the same time receiving a friendly welcome), the structure, discipline, and behavior of the students, the attentiveness of teachers and support staff to the students and to us, and the cleanliness and overall culture of the building. I am proud that my grandchildren are able to attend school in such a loving, caring atmosphere, and the academics speak for themselves! I know this was not just for Grandparents Week because anytime I ask the girls, "How was school today?", "It was awesome." Is their reply! From a very thankful Gigi and Papa G

I moved to Oconee County over six years ago. Several of my family members live here. One of the main reasons we chose Oconee County was because of the schools. Excellent teachers. We have loved all the teachers we have gotten to know. I am a parent and foster parent. Several of my foster children came to my home and needed to be enrolled in school here as soon as we could. i called the schools and they worked with me to complete the paperwork to get them in a class right away. One of my children and several of my relatives children were and are enrolled in the Oconee County Public School System. Nothing but positive things to say. Very friendly helpful staff. Always there for the students and parents. Love everything about Oconee County Public Schools. My son is special needs and the schools are very helpful and supportive of that. Always willing to do what is needed and proactive. I feel as though it's a team effort. My son is in first grade. I pray he will stay in Oconee County Public Schools for the next 11 plus years. I have a two year old foster daughter that I am in the process of adopting so we will be staying in Oconee County for years to come.
