Do not send your child to this school as long as the principal and assistant principal are there. They speak to people in the rudest way and think it's ok. I've written downtown on them several times and nothing has changed. I removed my child and you should to.
Posted by a parent on 8/6/2021My son attended Boyd for one yer and I clearly snatched him out. I felt like the teachers were only there for a paycheck and was never really prepared for anything. My son is above average and reads 2 grade levels ahead. He was not pushed or encouraged by his teachers and I certainly didn't apprecia

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen we moved we left a good elementary school in Smyrna that was highly rated and regarded. I am so grateful that when we relocated it was to a home that is zoned to a great APS gem- Bolton Academy. Bolton truly feels like a family. The school has amazing and loving teachers, a fantastic DLI program, an involved, engaging, and responsive administrative staff, a wonderfully helpful support staff, a beautifullydiverse group of students, and a bright and welcoming building. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son and I had a great experience at this school. When we moved on to another school he excelled and is far ahead of his peers. I attribute this to 3 things; parent involvement early on in his learning, Early Head Start for children ages 0-5 at Easter Seals Early Learning Center and Gate City School. Gate City School prepared him for Kindergarten and he was reading well. He was able to help one of his peers in kindergarten learn read and write his alphabet. He was ready for 1st/2nd grade math in kindergarten.Parent Review7y ago
