Atlanta Charter Middle School

We’ve been at BPA for two years and have felt welcome, supported, and encouraged to engage. The school community is tangible beyond the four walls of the school. Leadership has a clear vision for building a strong school community, and we appreciate it being communicated in meetings, materials, and in student achievement.

One of the worst school in the APS District. No exaggeration.My child has had the worst times of his life at this school. It’s rough kids do what they want without consequences. Kids bullying kids. Teachers putting their hands on students and still have a job. Administration is a joke. Academics are horrible. No interventions. Low enrollment. The principal does nothing but collect check as well as the assistant principal. Majority of the teachers are only collecting checks as well. I would never advise anyone to place their child here if you can help it. My child has suffered tremendously at this school. Physically emotionally morally and academically. I have to get him outside counseling now from the constant bullying. I will never willingly place my child at a Tier1 school such as this one ever again in my life.

I have experienced multiple concerns regarding organization, communication, and overall classroom management that have negatively impacted my child’s school experience.

Our experience has been very Positive. We have absolutely loved our Elementary School teachers - 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade teachers have been amazing. My child feels safe and cared for. She also has fun and really looks forward to school and learning. The PTA does a great job of including families and Principal Foster, Miss HG and the leadership team do a phenomenal job of running this ship! The teachers and staff are especially supportive of kids that need attention and they have a lot of experience and patience working with kids from various backgrounds and learning levels. It is a very "inclusive" culture.

CVMS has been amazing for our family. Our children are truly thriving here. With such caring and dedicated teachers, they receive more individualized attention and are challenged in a balanced, thoughtful way. I only wish the school went all the way through high school! Even so, we feel confident knowing our children are receiving a high-quality education.

Such a great choice for our family over the past three years. MIT is quite well-run, with amazing teachers, high-quality facilities, and very positive parent network. I appreciate that the director is always looking for ways to improve and grow the school, which is not always the case at small private schools. They recently hired for a new position, Pedagogical Specialist, to work across the classrooms, which shows how they reinvest in the kids and in supporting teachers.
