Read what parents are saying about Atlanta Charter Middle SchoolI personally know three families who have had to take their child out of The Atlanta Charter Middle School because they were being bullied, touched inappropriately or generally left to feel uncomfortable in an environment that is often controlled by a fairly rough element of students. The principal and some of the teachers seem to be afraid to do anything about it. They could have easily dealt with the problem students but have frequently chosen to do nothing. I am not sure why but can only guess that they feel intimidated themselves to do anything about it. It's a real shame because the school has such potential. It will never reach that potential as long as there is an atmosphere of fear being experienced by a great many students.
Posted by a parent on 5/11/2012I'm in the 6th grade.. I love this school... It makes you feel like people will actually listen to you.If you said this school was bad think again.
Posted by a community member on 4/20/2012If you like your child listening to X-rated rap lyrics played by the HEALTH teacher, a Chairman Mao poster hanging in the a humanities teacher's classroom and a general, wide open, hard left indoctrination of the students by at least 90% of the teachers then you will love the Atlanta Charter Middle School.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve been at BPA for two years and have felt welcome, supported, and encouraged to engage. The school community is tangible beyond the four walls of the school. Leadership has a clear vision for building a strong school community, and we appreciate it being communicated in meetings, materials, and in student achievement.Parent Review2mo ago - Benteen Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is just over half way through his kindergarten year here and it thus far, is proving to be an amazing and engaging environment. They offer various after school programs for enrichment and the staff and teachers have only been wonderful and helpful. My son is performing very well academically. I only have good things to say.Parent Review2y ago - Barack and Michelle Obama Academy

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our 2nd year at BAMO academy and both I and my daughter love this school. The care and attention of all of her teachers thus far, our awesome Principal and administrators and the pursuance of excellence has made me a huge fan of this school. Not to mention the security is what i need to feel more secure in this day and age. Also my 3 year old is super excited to attend and there isn't much I can ask forParent Review7mo ago - Parkside Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience has been very Positive. We have absolutely loved our Elementary School teachers - 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade teachers have been amazing. My child feels safe and cared for. She also has fun and really looks forward to school and learning. The PTA does a great job of including families and Principal Foster, Miss HG and the leadership team do a phenomenal job of running this ship! The teachers and staff are especially supportive of kids that need attention and they have a lot of experience and patience working with kids from various backgrounds and learning levels. It is a very "inclusive" culture.Parent Review6mo ago - New Generation Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have been at Country Village Montessori for several years, from preschool and now into elementary. We have been so happy with the quality of education, the care in the prepared Montessori environment, and the atmosphere of respect that the teachers work so hard to maintain among themselves and the children. Our kids, particularly in the elementary class, have been challenged to rise to far higher levels than they would have achieved elsewhere. The focus on inculcating good habits of mind, great literature, advanced math skills, natural science, world history, and more has kept us coming back each year.Parent Review10y ago - Montessori In Town

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth our kids attend Montessori In Town and we are very happy here. Both our children make exceptional academic and personal progress. All the focus is on the children as it should be. It is a small but growing school that covers toddler through elementary ages. Staff is very engaged and committed and responsive. Very passionate about Maria Montessori's approach of teaching/learning. Reasonable private school tuition. Good aftercare program with wonderful enrichment offerings. Great lunch program with GF and vegetarian options. The best choice in the area for us!Parent Review6y ago
