Read what parents are saying about Manning Oaks Elementary SchoolMOE used to be an amazing school. Sadly, leadership changed - morale has declined and staff turnover has increased.
Posted by a parent on 7/12/2023My experience was like fun learning the subjects and the teacher's use respectful manners and this school has overtime activities for children that needs help with something or they want to have soccer practice after school.
Posted by a parent on 2/25/2023As a parent of elementary kid I was all curious few years ago when we joined our bright kindergarten, however many aspects have gone down the hill and it dissapoints me to agree that there can be only bad teachers but never bad students.. main reason I think could be attrition rate of experienced teaching staff. Principle to teachers everyone is leaving the school for better prospects, the newcomers are struggling to uplift school vs personal goals of better education and care to students.
Posted by a parent on 4/25/2022If your child is advanced, DO NOT go to this school. This school focuses all of its energy on making sure everyone passes. They will NOT help your kids to reach higher if they are advanced. We moved from a different county (where my child was thriving) to this school where the attitude was just so different from the start. Every school meeting, teachers spent 100% of the time talking about how they will help your child pass the class and what steps they would take if your child doesn’t pass a test. This wasn’t the info I needed. When I tried to ask questions about my child who was in advanced classes before, they told me they would talk to me after the meeting was over - because it applied to no one else there. My child was seriously held behind by this school. She was downgraded to regular level classes and her reading level went backwards after attending this school for a year. Thankfully we moved (for this reason) and now she’s at Summit Hill, in accelerated math, advanced English and advanced science, as well as TAG. And she’s SO MUCH happier. This school does care about your child if he/she needs some extra help, but they will not be a good fit for you if your child is advanced.
Posted by a parent on 4/15/2022Great passionate teachers. Love their Family activities like International Night, movie nights, kickball, music programs, and Science Night.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAt the time of writing this review, New Prospect is receiving a 6/10 overall rating on Great Schools. As a parent with children at this school, I disagree strongly with that rating and want to offer some background. New Prospect is a WONDERFUL school.New Prospect has a very diverse student population both in ethnicity and socioeconomically. I think this is an advantage! However, because of that diversity, some of the student population includes new arrivals to our great country who can also be transient. These kids score below averages on standardized tests and may not attend long enough to show improvement over time. The reality of the score is that the district for the school includes a wide variety of housing...from economically priced apartments to $1 Million+ homes. "Great School" ratings are more a reflection of the demographic of the students and families zoned for attendance than anything else. While my family appreciates diversity of all kinds for our children, we think it is resulting in an unfairly low assessment of New Prospect. The quality of care and education and the capability and passion of the administration and teaching staff at this school cannot be beat. I highly recommend New Prospect Elementary.Parent Review1y ago - Alpharetta Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA lot of bullying happens in the school. Staff addresses leniently & lets it go. Bullying continues, nothing ever happens, no action is taken. It’s sad.Kids needing special education aren’t addressed in a timely manner. Extremely bad experience with this school.Parent Review5mo ago - Creek View Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish that I could say something positive about this school because the TEACHERS are AMAZING! However, the administration (this includes the Curriculum Support Teacher) are the most unprofessional people I have ever worked with. It is very upsetting because the teachers are amazing, but the admin will talk behind your back. I have attended so many meetings where the CST has talked about other staff members negatively. You may have the AP email you on weekends telling you about "rumors" that involve you. If you are an aspiring teacher, DO NOT WORK HERE! The communication between the teachers and admin is horrible. You will do everything right, however, always be in the wrong. What I've found, is this school ruins great teachers. Mostly due to the micromanaging and unprofessionalism that has plagued this school. I could write an autobiography of everything I have experienced. I will leave it at this; this is the worst place I have ever worked at and if you are an aspiring teacher about to work here, RUN WHILE YOU CAN!Other Review9mo ago - Cogburn Woods Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers here are generally great and care about their students. If I was just rating them, they'd get 5 stars. However, the admin team would get negative stars from me, if possible. They have completely mishandled my child's, who has learning differences, education. There is very little empathy for those who need special resources/approaches to learning. There is even less motivation to ensure that those needs are met. It's absolutely shameful that these unique children and their families have to go through what the school makes them go through to get any of the needed resources. Even then, appropriate instruction and accommodations are severely lacking.Parent Review2y ago - Alpharetta Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been at ACA for 2 years and we are nothing but happy with this school. The school is small so everyone knows everyone and you feel the love from everyone. Academically I feel like they are doing a great job. We have only gone to ACA so we don't have anything to compare it to except for things people say about public school. I know 100% that this school is better than public. If you are looking for a Christian School you should look at this one. Everyone that I speak with loves this school. The only down side is that they only go thru 5th grade.Student Review7y ago - Alpharetta Methodist Christian
