Pitner Elementary School

This school may be fine for neurotypical students but if you have an ND kid, AVOID at all costs. They give mouth service to any accommodations asked for without really supporting your students, and punish your children for the smallest infractions without even bothering to find out if the children understood they were committing an infraction. They won't provide support unless you specifically ask for it, and you'd better know EXACTLY what you need to ask for or you won't get any help at all. Five years here and your children will hate school and believe that they are irredeemable troublemakers after being told how bad they are for five years.

We relocated to Georgia in December of last year, and the transition to this school exceeded my expectations. I was initially concerned about how my son would adjust, but he quickly felt at home and absolutely loves it here. The staff and environment made the move so much smoother for our family.

The teachers here usually only care about money, they aren’t enthusiastic towards the children and expect the child to know everything. When a child actually does something wrong the teachers don’t say anything but when the child is being well behaved they think the child is doing something wrong. I remember when I saw the same child chewing gum everyday but instead of getting in trouble some one else got in trouble.

As a parent of a child with special needs, our experience at Chalker Elementary has been disappointing. While the school may appear welcoming on the surface, we encountered serious issues regarding special education support and communication. Our child’s IEP was not consistently followed, services were delayed or missed, and we found it difficult to get clear answers from staff. Inclusion was lacking, and we often felt our child was treated as a burden rather than a valued and included individual. When we tried to advocate for improvements, the response was defensive rather than collaborative.

I have multiple students who attended from kindergarten all the way through and graduated from Shiloh Hills Christian. They received an excellent education preparing them for acceptance into competitive colleges. There was academic rigor and I love that they were known like family. That is one of the strengths of this school. Students are genuinely loved, cared for, challenged, and celebrated. I would highly recommend Shiloh to perspective families.

We have had the privilege of having our child attend this Christian Montessori school for both the Primary and Elementary programs, and we could not be happier with the experience. Our child is truly thriving—academically, socially, and personally. The teachers are exceptional and bring a wonderful diversity of backgrounds, representing many different countries and cultures. They create a nurturing, respectful, and engaging environment where children are encouraged to grow with confidence and independence. The values taught at this school are truly top-tier. The Christian foundation, emphasis on character, responsibility, kindness, and respect are just as important as the academics, and we deeply appreciate the way these values are incorporated into everyday learning.Academically, we have been extremely impressed. The educational level is well above average, and the study materials and curriculum are more advanced than what we have seen at other schools in our area. The Montessori approach provides our child with both a strong academic foundation and the opportunity to develop critical thinking, independence, and a genuine love of learning. We are incredibly grateful to the teachers and staff for the investment they make in our child. Seeing our child thrive and develop into a confident, capable, and compassionate learner has been one of the greatest affirmations that we made the right choice. We highly recommend this school to any family looking for an education that develops the whole child—academically, spiritually, socially, and personally.
