Read what parents are saying about Pickett's Mill Elementary SchoolBest in the West! Pickett’s Mill is a Lighthouse School and instills the Seven Habits of Leaders in all of their classrooms. Most recently all of the K-2 teachers were Orton-Gillingham trained! My youngest is benefiting from this amazing phonics program! Admin, teachers, and all of the staff are friendly and make us feel welcome. We are beyond happy at this wonderful school.
Posted by a parent on 7/6/2022I have 2 children at Pickett’s Mill, this is our 4th Elementary school we have attended. This is the best school yet! My children love going to school everyday. The communication is so good, the teachers are engaged. We feel so lucky to be apart of this community.
Posted by a parent on 1/26/2022We have a first grader at Picket’s Mill and have been thrilled with every aspect of the school. We moved from Milton (North Fulton) and have liked Picket’s Mill far better than our daughter’s previous elementary school. The administration at Picket’s Mill is especially fantastic.

Posted by a parent on 5/28/2019My son is wrapping up his kindergarten year and I couldn't be more pleased. There is constant communication from the teacher via weekly newsletters and from the school via texts, dial outs, and the school website.Whenever I am in the building the staff is friendly and helpful. They offer many after school clubs and school events such as Bingo Night, Movie Night, and Spring Fling. All of this really helps build the culture of the school. I am very happy with the education and support my son is receiving at Pickett's Mill and he absolutely loves going to school every day!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are some amazing teachers at this school but unfortunately there are also some terrible ones who have no business teaching as they display favoritism and bias and are clearly not passionate about nurturing children and making a positive impact nor have the people skills to deal with parents. My experience with the administration is that they protect their own at the expense of your child. Bullying is not addressed and handled in a very dismissive manner. There is no accountability on the part of staff should your child suffer in anyway. I don't believe that all the children recieve the same level of education and support at this school as another reviewer stated, the wealthy and privelaged students will have a positive experience here. Its really sad how much education has declined since Covid.Parent Review1y ago - Montessori At Brookstone School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had the most amazing experience at Montessori at Brookstone. Our first born has been attending since he was 3 years old and will be graduating at the end of this school year. The development we have seen has been nothing short of amazing. The structure in the classrooms and the montessori method instills a love of learning. Having a Primary classroom with ages 3 - 6 allows for the younger kids to learn from the older and the older to learn patience and leadership skills when teaching the younger. The consistency of one teacher for several years cannot be emphasized enough. The teachers have a true passion for what they do and have been at the school for 20+ years will very little turnover. We didn't even try to put our second born in a traditional daycare. We wanted the same consistency, small classroom and so much love and attention as we have had with our first. And Montessori at Brookstone is where we know she will get it. My friends are amazed at the things my children can do at their respective young ages and their manners, and general respect for others is truly a testament to this incredible school and staff. We cannot recommend this school enough. Thank you Ms. Grier and Team for continuing to show passion and love for our children every day.Parent Review1y ago - Hopewell Montessori School
