I would NEVER put my child at this school again. I wouldn't let my future grand-kids go here. It's just terrible and sad how they only need the Bible class to pass to the next grade. They have this one teacher where she will do nothing but argue with you over YOUR child. This school is horrible. Very few kids go to this school. there are about 60 kids total at this school. Their snack prices are high soon they are gonna be up with the gas prices. One day my child came and said their field gate isn't always locked and they can easily leave and little kids are in that field playing everyday. there was once a UNKNOWN man on the basketball court far out in the field behind the portables and then the man ran back home, it isn't the first time people just come onto the schools property an use the basketball court. At this school they do not get the HELP they need. And lets not speak on the not fully cooked food. They will question your kids about personal matters at home without calling home and getting permission. And the teachers are nasty and very rude to the kids. They show favoritism to the kids. I understand that schools want to push kids to do better but BHCS pushes the kids too hard. And i don't think it's right. CERTAIN kids can wear colored hair and CERTAIN clothing such as FISHNETS. ITS NOT FAIR. And if you are on scholarship and it is time for a field trip they will be like "You don't have enough money on your scholarship to cover your trip." And they do not have Special Ed classes for people with disabilities. BUT i'm not stopping you from putting your child at this school BUT If you are wanting to put your child at a private school Beacon of Hope Christian School is not what you would want to choose.

I would not send my children to any other school now that we belong to SJCA. We have 4 children very spread out in ages. We have moved schools many times over the years- we have also homeschooled for several years. We have tried public, private, Christian, Montessori, and home school. Once I discovered this school I felt so at home. This is the best way to teach your children. Tride and true. Don't listen to these negative comments I've seen from mothers suggesting everything is changing and the school is falling apart. That could not be further from the truth and quite honestly is insensitive to the rest of the entire community of parents and children who seek out good education for their families that belong to St. John's Classical Education. We came in right at the cusp of these changes, and I observed closely, and can tell you that yes change is difficult in any circumstance and does come with growing pains, but nothing has changed as far as the rigorous curriculum, the intense support my children receive with their various independent needs. They are all being met with great care, an outstanding staff with truly creditable credentials, and all my children are on a path to success thanks to all their support and care. I could not be happier with our decision to switch to a classical curriculum, and SJCA is full of team spirit, high accolades, and get the kids excited about intense learning. Absolutely no complaints. Although, I do recognize that there are things that go on in every school that is inevitable. The reflection of the outcome truly comes from the students and the learn from how their parents handle situation. The results are in. There is nothing lacking in their education!!! Highly recommend!
