Armwood High School

Very disappointed in the way this school handled a situation involving my VPK student. The principal was dismissive, unwilling to truly hear my concerns as a parent, and showed little care for my child’s emotional well-being. As one of the only Black students in the class, it is hard not to question whether bias played a role in how quickly my son was labeled and judged. Black students deserve understanding, protection, and fairness too. I would not recommend anyone to send their child to this school because I can honestly say they do not care about the children and the staff is protected by the principal regardless of being wrong.

We discharged our son because they bullied him and did nothing to stop him. I am currently in the Army waiting for the process they do to the families and our son needed to complete a document from this school that was his previous one and they never filled out the paper after two weeks they said they lost it.

As someone who has worked as substitute teacher around the school district, I can say this is by far one of the best elementary schools in the area. The staff is incredible with the students and very supportive. The students are respectful and amazing to work with, all thanks to the amazing teachers that put in the work. Thank you Lopez Elementary and keep up the great work.

I saw a fellow student carve his name into his own forearm as a confession of love to a girl he liked and nothing was ever done about it.

If you like for your child to be bullied and nothing happens to the perpetrator, this is your place. No consequences for anything. Just brush everything under the rug. Everything fine here folks, nothing to see here
