Brentwood Elementary School

I subbed for several years at this school, working almost every day. I got to be in all the classrooms many times over. This school is one of the best schools I have ever been in. I worked as a teacher for over 40 years in Special Education, in several states and several positions and can honestly say, that I loved working so much at Fruitville, I stopped subbing at other schools in the district and worked exclusively at Fruitville. There are many positives to say about Fruitville. All of the staff works very hard at making children feel valued and helping them to learn. The entire school participates developing a positive learning climate thru teams and special activities. The special education department of the school works to ensure kids can be assimilated into regular classrooms as much as possible to benefit special needs kids and to help "regular" children be more accepting of students with learning differences. The school climate is warm and nurturing. The school counselor is very involved with helping all students develop strong social and emotional coping skills. The staff makes volunteers and substitutes feel welcome and appreciated. While I worked there, it was like working with a big, extended family. I loved that school! If I had young children and I wanted them to go to a good school, I would pick Fruitville in a heartbeat!

Ascensicion Lutheran School provides my children with christ-centered education. Both of my children have excelled since matriculating at Ascension. My children are excited about school and the teachers and staff have become like family.

In these challenging times, the school has proven to be a beacon of safety and reassurance for parents. Their commitment to continuous communication, relentless reevaluation of safety protocols, and consistent follow-through is nothing short of exemplary.What's more, the intimate class sizes foster deep connections between teachers and students; it's evident that the instructors know my children profoundly and individually. This nurturing atmosphere has been a cocoon of positivity, where my kids feel genuinely cherished and empowered. The environment is not just educationally stimulating but also emotionally positive.Seeing my children blossom into the best versions of themselves is a joy I attribute to the school's unwavering dedication. They haven't just taught my kids; they've helped them grow with love and confidence. For this, I am endlessly grateful.

My daughter attended SCS for 5 years from grades 6-10. In our last year the behavior of the students attending took a sharp decline. We spent so much in tuition costs only to have our daughter be called incredibly inappropriate names with very little staff concern or support. As a practicing Christian I feel it is my duty to make others aware of the behavior circulating throughout the middle school and high school grades.

It is a wonderful school and we have been happy there for four years!

Small great Christian School. Safe, activities, music, sports and great teachers. Good Administration looking always for the best interest of the kids.
