First, let me start by saying I have two children who attend Ruskin Elementary. No, I’m not gonna say it’s all bad because I know there are some very great teachers there, but there are a few including the principal and assistant principal that just simply don’t care about helping parents resolve issues with teachers. I asked for a meeting with the principal and my son’s teacher regarding her reprimanding him by making him walk during recess because according to her, he was goofing off during learning time. I messaged her and asked that my child not ever do this again, I even suggested other alternatives of punishment. Never did I receive an apology from his teacher. In fact, she tried to lie and say she only made him walk for five minutes, but my child is adamant that he was made to walk the entire recess, which is 20 minutes. To me that is unacceptable. To make matters even worse before I could even tell my child that I had already spoken to his teacher regarding the situation he stops me midsentence, and says he already knew because she asked him what exactly he told me, at that point my child didn’t respond because he was nervous of how she would react to him telling me. After asking her why she did that, she stated that she only asked him what he said to me not why as if that’s to justify what she did. Now they also have a new rule where if your child misses four or more days a semester, they are unable to attend field trips, which is absurd, but understandable because this school’s attendance is horrible, which is why the principle is setting this ridiculous rule now, but what she needs to worry about is the teachers making the students want to attend this school at all !

My kids attend this school and have been bullied, come home crying more often than not with complaints of kids spitting on them, hitting them, stealing their stuff and more. Kids rarely receive homework or activities to encourage learning, I enrolled my 5 yr old son for kindergarten for his first year of school and within a month of just getting used to his teacher they have “selected” him to be in a new class they created which is a new adjustment for him and should have been done before children started school which just highlights their lack of organization. The school dismissal is a joke often resulting in waiting on a car rider line for 40-50 minutes for your child and apparently the last hour of school your child does not belong to you and you cannot get your child regardless of your emergency. It’s a disgusting way to treat families who have their children enrolled leaving parents feeling hopeless and striping parents of their right unnecessarily. This will be the last year my children are enrolled here.

Our family has been truly blessed by our experience at Ruskin Christian School over the past four years. From the very beginning, we knew this was more than just a school—it’s a Christ-centered community that genuinely invests in the hearts and minds of its students.The teachers and staff at Ruskin Christian go above and beyond to create an environment rooted in love, grace, and biblical truth. They not only teach with excellence but also lead by example, guiding our children in both academic achievement and spiritual growth. Every lesson, every prayer, and every chapel service is intentionally designed to point students toward Christ.We’ve watched our children grow in knowledge, confidence, and most importantly, in faith. The school’s commitment to integrating biblical values into every subject and every activity has helped build a strong spiritual foundation that will last a lifetime.The communication and partnership between the school and parents have been exceptional. We’ve always felt supported, heard, and part of a larger mission to raise up the next generation of Christ-followers.After four wonderful years at Ruskin Christian School, we can honestly say it has shaped our child in all the right ways—spiritually, academically, and personally. We are so thankful for the lasting impact this school has had on our family, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their child will be known, loved, and challenged in all the best ways.

They more concerned about their views can't even get their buses to get the kids on time call you and ask you why your kids missing school but buses don't never show and teachers go on months and months of vacation smh my kids didn't start hating school until they went to this one.
