Hospital Homebound

This school is the worst school and needs to be investigated by the state for making false claims to DCF on cases that are not true which is a felony their practices are not good and I would not recommend anybody to go to this school if anybody has a problem with this school contact Florida education commission in Tallahassee and file complaint against the teacher for their conduct I am tired of hearing about children not able to go to use the bathroom and have an accidents in their pants all the time or kids getting punched in the chest or pushed down and false cases called into DCF

Horrible/no communication with this school- nobody knows what’s going on, best example is controlled chaos. God forbid if you’re a working parent, you’re either late because of the pick up/drop off line or you don’t get to attend any on campus events for your child such as open house or meet the teacher due to their time restrictions. Zero stars doesn’t do it justice.

Extremely pleased and happy with my children and the education they receive here.

My daughter went to this school for 4 years before we moved out of state, and we have missed this school ever since. The teachers are wonderful, and treat the kids great. They do not tolerate bullying for a minute. All of the staff are the best I have ever seen in a school. They truly care about the children, and get to know them well. We moved to a terrible school system and I had to remove my daughter to home school her until we can move again. She is now in middle school so could no longer attend Horizon anyway, but I wish dearly that every school had the qualities that this one has. If your child is unique, sweet, soft spoken or even if they aren't, they will thrive in this school. The only way they wouldn't do well here is if they are a troublemaker because it is absolutely not tolerated.

If your student is special needs with adhd or any other special needs beware they don't care . My child has adhd and has impulse issues and is not able to take meds due to seizures. This did not stop them for disciplining my child for every little thing. Grant it my child is no angel by any means, but is not a problem child as well. The school does not see it this way though for a child with adhd they see them as a problem . The discipline lady and vice principal are a nightmare they will discipline them for every little thing they can find. The discipline lady acts like a child tattling on a class mate basically. The vice principal has no sense of humor what so ever and will judge your student even before they walk in the front door with out getting to know them first even If they have never been in the school there. They are very judgmental, pushy and act like stuck up rich snobs. There was only one teacher there that i liked and needs a shout out for being awesome and that was Ms. Viola in special ed. The sheriff on campus there was awesome as well he really does care about the kids and all of the kids safety there so shout out to him as well for being awesome, Other then that i am not impressed with this school at all. We felt they really just want to push kids thru and collect the money on these special needs kids.

Both my kids do great here and have wonderful communication from the teachers and staff
