Posted by a parent on 5/11/2020Sawgrass Adventist School has a team of administrators, teachers, staff, and volunteers that work together for the betterment of the student intellectually, physically, and spiritually. The teachers are dedicated to the learning needs of the students and work with their parents. Although it is a small school, it is rich in educational quality. The teachers care for the students, and the students care for their teachers and schoolmates. It is a very close-knit community where attention and affection abound.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been in Central Park for the last 4 years (1st-4th grade). My son has been bullied in this school and neither the administration nor the teachers have done anything about it. They say they take bullying very seriously, but there has been no consequences for the kids actions. My son has been hit on, pushed, called names, his lunch has been stolen, and nobody has done anything about it. Don't be fooled by all the wonderful things they say about this school. When it comes to your child's safety, this school is no help at all. The principal even started laughing, and would not stop laughing, at one of the meetings that I had with her about the bullying that my son was enduring.Parent Review2y ago - Fox Trail Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent who has been involved with SBS for over four and a half years, it's disheartening to share my experience with the administration. Unfortunately, the leadership under the Principal has created an environment marred by favoritism, lack of accountability, and disregard for the concerns of parents. It's openly admitted that she shows preferential treatment towards her friends and their children, while disregarding the needs and concerns of other students and parents. This favoritism extends beyond personal relationships and influences decisions regarding teacher conduct and adherence to school policies. Teachers who are in the inner circle of the Principal seem to operate under a different set of rules, often avoiding consequences for their actions or neglecting to follow established protocols. This double standard not only undermines the integrity of the school but also leads to frustration and disillusionment among the staff. The consequences of this administration's actions are evident in the departure of talented and dedicated educators from SBS. Many excellent teachers have chosen to leave due to the toxic atmosphere perpetuated by favoritism and lack of accountability. This turnover not only disrupts the continuity of education but also deprives students of valuable mentorship and support. The administration's failure to address bullying and misconduct exacerbates the issue. Instead of taking decisive action to protect students and promote a safe learning environment, there have been instances where bullies are shielded from consequences, while victims are left vulnerable and unsupported. Additionally, the administration has been known to foster unnecessary drama instead of providing clear direction to its staff, further eroding trust within the school community. In order for SBS to go back to what it was, a small close community, the administration should prioritize the needs of all students, listen to parents and create a positive and equitable learning environment for everyone.Parent Review1mo ago - Developmental Preschool Kindergarten

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePossibly the best PreK you will find. I drove 25 minutes everyday, while I have at least 10 schools near me. Miss Laurie is an incredible and involved principal. The school is clean, they are on top of their education and the teachers are stellar. My daughter was with Miss Sabrina and Miss Jo, amazing teachers! If you’re looking for a loving environment where the kids will be happy, healthy and learn, go to DPK!Parent Review1y ago - Parkway Christian Elementary School
