Read what parents are saying about Pinellas Park Middle SchoolSo far my daughter has done great in the Cambridge Program. We’ve had no issues with bullying/fights etc. Teachers seem to genuinely care about the students and want them to succeed.
Posted by a parent on 4/19/2023The administration at Pinellas Park Middle School is TERRIBLE! They treat students and parents like trash!
Posted by a parent on 5/18/2022Our son is in the 7th grade Cambridge program here at Pinellas Park. I am a teacher in Pinellas County. I had my doubts when our son started BUT he is doing great. The administration team and teachers have been very supportive and helpful. Your child’s experience is what efforts your child puts in and how you as a parent are involved. Overall great school!
Posted by a parent on 1/31/2022Normal experience. Everything is normal or what you would think. Only thing is that there are lockers in Building 3 and Building 4 but we never use them. Problems being is that the school is pretty big. During 2020/2021 the water fountains got shut off and I don't think they will bring them back until the 2022-2023 school year. Other then the only water bottle refill station, or well the only water fountain/ water bottle refill station it's a pretty nice school. 7/10 would recommend.

I believe that kids should be able to express theirselves by wearing school appropriate clothes of their desire. My son has been there since 2nd grade and is now entering 5th and I have another son going into Kindergarten but I will probably do special assignment because uniforms are expensive and just show no character.Parent Review9y ago - Bardmoor Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the best public school in Pinellas County for an autistic child. I have been to several schools for my son, and he responded best to the women here. I think most of them are mommies or just naturally nurturing. Ms Hurd, the director has such a comforting demeanor. All her her staff is just wonderful, can't say anything bad about any of them. They all try very hard, patient, dedicated, and they have a way to make the parents feel calm, and see hope when they may not have originally going in there. Ms Gonzalez was very good with my son, she taught him so much, and Estela Cumba in their front office held my hand through all the paperwork stuff and really educated me with school processes and procedures. To conclude, I can honestly tell you my son is advancing everyday, and he has reached milestones I never thought he would. These women can speak to him and get through to him in their own special ways. Many others could not, even me. Still even me. They've truly taught my son things I couldn't. Their ASD Dept is very impressive. The school's general office I think is very organized and professional without overdosing you in professionalism. Real people. If you are looking for an ASD program, give them a chance.Parent Review1y ago - Blanton Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis SCHOOL IS BY FAR THE WORST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN PINELLAS COUNTY , MY SON HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT BULLIED PUT DOWN AND MADE TO FEEL LIKE HE IS THE PROBLEM, THEY DON'T ALLOW YOU TO BE INVOLVED WITH THE SCHOOL YOU Aren't EVEN ALLOWED TO BE ON CAMPUS UNLESS YOUR EATING LUNCH WITH YOUR CHILD. MY SON HAS MULTIPLE INCIDENTS INCLUDING BULLYING, PEOPLE STEALING JEWELRY OFF HIS NECK , OTHER KIDS TEACHING HIM INAPPROPRIATE THINGS , RACISM AND MORE AND EVERY SINGLE TIME MY SON WAS TO BLAME FOR IT ALL IT'S SICKING I WISH WE COULD CHOOSE OUT OF TWO OR THREE SCHOOL'S THAT YOU ARE ZONED FOR BECAUSE THIS SCHOOL MADE MY SON HATE SCHOOL !!!!!!!!! I WAS NEVER INFORMED ABOUT ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED TOY SON BUT EVERYTIME MY SON DID Anything THE WOULD CALL ME RIGHT AWAY , THEY MADE MY SON OUT TO BE THIS TERRIBLE KID TO THE POINT THAT MY SON HAD 8 DIFFERENT TEACHERS AND IS ONLY IN 3RD GRADE AND HE IS TRULY THE SMARTEST AND MOST KIND KID EVER ! HE LITERALLY BELIEVES ALL THE TEACHERS HATE HIM . THANK GOD WE ARE MOVING HE DOES NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS SCHOOL ANOTHER YEAR !!!! TRULY TAKE PRECAUTIONS WITH SENDING YOUR CHILD HERE. ALSO THEY DO NO FUN ACTIVITIES MY SON WENT ON ONE FIELD TRIP IN KINDERGARTEN , HASN'T BEEN OTHER SINCE THEN AND THANK GOD I WAS THERE BECAUSE HIS TEACHER DIDNT EVEN PAY ATTENTION TO THE KIDS ONE OF THE STUDENTS TRIED TO RUN AWAY AND I HAD TO STOP THEM PRETTY SURE THEY DIDNT LET THE PARENT'S KNOW EITHER. 0/10 I had to click a star to leave this review but the get 0 stars from me for sureOther Review10mo ago - Skyview Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo NOT send your kids here. Trust me, don't. Even if you're zoned for the school, drive your child elsewhere. We've been on 5 school waiting lists for 3 years desperately trying to get our now 5th grader out of this school. My child has been bullied every single day, every single year here to the point of needing administration intervention, WHEN WE GET IT, and daily guidance counseling. The teachers let these kids scream, beat and shove each other, throw things, smashing school provided technology, it is constant chaos everyday for children who actually want to learn. If you have a children with special needs, it's even worse, and they'll be thrown into classrooms with kids screaming at them and making fun of them everyday.Children with NO existing behavioral issues are given referrals for tiny infractions without any contact to the parents, no calls, nothing. There is no scaling, warnings, alternative punishment for good kids who make small mistakes..But children who have literally assaulted other kids DAILY get a slap on the wrist, most teachers watch and do absolutely nothing to help kids that are being treated awful by their peers everyday. There is no structure, there is no empathy, the staff are burnt out and make excuses for why the school is a mess, but this isn't happening everywhere! You will become exhausted and disheartened by the daily stories of stress your child is going through at the hands of both adults and children here.Skyview is failing our children. Miserably. And if you're not wealthy enough to afford private school, or lucky enough to get into a free fundamental or charter school, you will have to watch your child suffer here everyday.Don't move here, don't let your poor kids attend this school.Parent Review2mo ago - American Montessori Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTons of bullying here! It's very upsetting because we have been a family with this school since pre-school and currently have two children enrolled here. The leadership is unaware of the bullying that takes place here and does little to squash it- just brush it under the rug or blame the wrong kids (teacher's kids seem to never do any wrong). It's so difficult for a child to learn in this environment! The academics here are top notch, but the social environment is not good and not watched! Our child excels in sports, is an A student, involved in the arts & band- the school wants students to be involved in all areas, which is great. However, they cater to the teachers' students- they get chosen for awards, positions and never get into trouble! It's very disheartening for a Christian school! Or child is good looking, intelligent & giving, but is constantly bullied by those who think they have "more power" than him because of their family status or parent teacher status!Parent Review1mo ago - Grace Christian School
