Vista Lakes Elementary School

At this school you get remarks every single day if your child is different and needs more attention,little hard to handle cause he already knows what they're trying to teach him so he gets bored. Instead of moving him to the next level, challenge him and support him to get the best of him; they make him feel guilty and bad even in kindergarten! I'm glad I enrolled him in a private school where they were amazed by his level and moved him to the next grade! Hope they will change their strategy, the way they treat students and find solutions to get the best of their students instead of punishments and warnings........

Personally, we've had a great experience with the school. They are still adjusting to find a normal after covid. Hope the next school year is just as good if not better than this school year.

Estoy muy feliz de haber llegado a esta escuela, cada maestro que han tenido mis hijos han sido realmente increíbles. Las maestras valoran a sus estudiantes, lo cual los mantiene siempre motivados. Adicional a eso la escuela ayuda a los padres también. En particular recibo clases de ingles de manera gratuita en la escuela estoy muy agradecida con todos en la escuela.

My son‘s teacher was great. My only issue with the school is the principal and his staff. They don’t care about the mental health and well-being of the kids. Ever response back in a meeting was simply catered and tailored around testing. These kids have a lot of pressure on them as it is to perform for these exams. At the end of the year Mr. longhouse is not fit to run school. Sometimes people in higher positions need to take a step back and maybe think about doing something else in education. Being a principal, you should have certain characteristics such as caring, understanding, and sympathy. Unfortunately, he lacks all three. I would not recommend my child going to this school.

Although this school claims to be professional in the way that they teach and or handle children, this is not so. The school is Bible focused but is not experienced with children who have developmental issues or learning disabilities, as typical with private schools. Child did not bring home any art work all year long, it is to my belief that certain things could have been prevented had they set better rules and been more aware of what was happening in different scenarios. The music instructor is very professional with the presentations they bring on every year. Looking back at past reviews, I now realize how important it is to ensure your child's needs are met. I would only recommend this school for parents with children who do not have any developmental issues.
