The First Hope of the First Academy

The office never answers the phone or calls you back after leaving messages. No one is prepared when you ask them to do something. The only thing they can tell you is they’re on vacation. And they don’t have no one doing the job when they are out. The principal don’t do anything. They lost my kid and didn’t know where he was. Would not even pay for my child to continue to go to this school here.

Whole child education with teachers and administration that truly care about each student on campus.

Mi experiencia al comienzo confusa no hablamos el idioma, poco personal bilingüe, pero sin embargo les fue bien, mi hijo se adapto, en relación a qué mi hijo tuvo compañeros que lo agredieron en varias oportunidades, llevamos una carta, el colegio se comportó a la altura, conversaron con uno de los estudiantes y dijeron esto se detiene hoy y así fue, nos entregaron la confianza que necesitábamos, mi hija menor sigue en esta escuela y estamos tranquilos, estamos contentos

My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour. As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter.Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and “extra time,” which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could “bring our own interpreter,” which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards.We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate.I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.

Very unprofessional and untrustworthy ! Releases students to people not on the list and then threatens to arrest the actual guardian upon arriving to the school.. hope you guys are satisfied because you are now one of the reasons a little girl is gone
