Lake Highland Preparatory School

I am a former student of this school and I can tell you that the teachers and the learning experience at this school are slightly above average. The kids at this school are terrible. The honor code that this school talks so much about does not exist. Kids will cheat their way through assignments, if anything this school will teach you that honor will get you used like a floor mat and that cheaters win. If you think this school will save your child from the abuse that a public school will give them, think again. If your child doesn’t behave like most of the other kids or like what most of the other kids like, they WILL BE ostracized. Save your hundreds of thousands of dollars and pick a better school.

My child experienced physical abuse in the school. When I reported it, the school was relentless in making my life and the life of my child miserable. The things they did to me and my child after reporting abuse…those lower school administrators are sure “something.”Fast forward, my child is thriving, loved and he said he feels he is in a school that wants him there. We’ve moved quite a bit and never had an experience where my child and I were bullied. Worst experience and people in my life.

Our grandson attended Princeton Elementary (great school) then Lee Middle for 6th grade - worst school I have ever seen. Transferred to LHPS for 7th on. Great experience for him.

Our granddaughter is getting an excellent education at this school.

The campus is beautiful, but don't let this deceive you. A large part of our children's education is proper and positive socialization in a positive environment. I would look into other private schools.
