My child is attending this school for 3 years now we love our Bulldog family teachers are wonderful.

I was so excited for my child to start this school only for me to have to pull them out after a few weeks. I have a *very very* well behaved child that also excels in school. With that said…ugh…Recess was almost non-existent, no talking in class, no talking in the hallway, no talking at lunch. There was very little fun or socialization to be had. Recess when not skipped lasted all of 10 min or so because the teacher didn’t want to be outside. There is no play equipment for older kids.My daughter tipped her chair back on two legs and the teacher told her she had to sit on the wall at recess. She has *never* gotten in trouble at school and this crushed her. She started have anxiety attacks at home and during the day at school. I later found out that she was being ignored and mistreated daily by her teacher. (Who ended up leaving the school a month after starting). The kids were given no study materials for tests. All of the children were failing their tests with my child having the highest failing grades. I asked for resources and was told there were none.Besides the bad teacher, I had rude and cold interactions with several of the staff…I’m pretty bubbly and didn’t understand this. My husband had the same experience. I saw the red flags at the open house when the principal was standing at a distance trying not to talk to parents. I ended up pulling my daughter out a few weeks in. She was so stressed and I could see her little light dimming. I was not rude or confrontational with anyone at that school— I was met with an attitude at the front desk upon leaving. I would not recommend this place to a single person. It’s like a military school. I hope they find a great leader for the school—it has a lot of potential.

Sunrise Elementary is an excellent school with outstanding teachers. My son currently attends and is in 4th grade. My daughter attended, Sunrise K-5 and was thoroughly prepared for middle and high school. As a tenth grader at Timber Creek HS she takes many AP classes including pre-calculus.

Mi hija tiene desde Kinder y ahora está en tercero y estoy encantada, todas las maestras que le han tocado son maravillosas, mi hija nunca ha tenido quejas y siempre esta feliz con sus profesoras y todo eso se ve reflejado en sus notas... Tuve una situación con un estudiante (un malentendido) y el colegio actuó super rápido y estuvieron abiertos a toda ayuda lo que me da totalmente confianza en la seguridad de la escuela. Apreciaria que tuvieran mas extracurriculares y que la cafeteria fuera mas grande porque los niños cuando tienen eventos casi no caben en el escenario... Pero es una gran escuela...

When my child initially started attending Camelot, I was worried about something going on in school that I didn't know of. He would have anxiety attacks, and he would cry almost every single morning before school. My child was becoming sick because of this, and I almost took him out of school. Thankfully, the next year was different for my child. My child's teacher was Mona Abomoelak, and my child immediately fell in love with the school. He would get himself ready for school and be excited to be dropped off at school. My child would always run towards Mrs. Mona whenever he saw her, and we even noticed that our child started speaking more. Based on how my child and his classmates reacted towards her, I knew that she was an amazing teacher who truly loves and cares for her students. She went above and beyond, especially when my child started attending virtual classes. I would recommend anyone who has a child with special needs to have Mrs. Mona as their child's teacher! Unfortunately, Mrs. Mona is not going to be at Camelot elementary. It is truly heartbreaking seeing her go, as I know that my child adored and enjoyed having her as his teacher. She is an amazing teacher, and I hope that other parents can see how truly amazing she is too!

We love how welcoming the school staff is.

The teachers at this school really feel like family. My kids have had a wonderful experience with learning and understanding all the curriculum. I love that they feel challenged and are confident in what they are being taught! My kids have come out of their shells with all the things they have to offer there (dance, drama, PE, etc)
