Read what parents are saying about Blankner K-8My son just transferred here from a private school he attended for a year + after we moved here and I so wish we had just started him at Blankner. It is an amazing school with caring teachers. The students are treated with care but there are also good expectations that keeps the school functioning in a safe and character building way. The principal is very involved and sets such a good tone for the school. They have great extras like music , art, and a STEM lab. They also have chickens and other animals in a learning lab. My son comes home so much happier and engaged than he was before. We are so happy to have him there.

Posted by a community member on 8/17/2021Blankner is a wonderful school, full of teachers and staff who go above and beyond daily to make all students feel welcome.With hands-on learning in all subjects, amazing science and STEM opportunities, Blankner is one of the best schools in OCPS.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child does not feel safe in that school and the bullying is uncontrollable and I have witness two fights just outside the school when I walk up to pick up my little one the police officer just walks casually up to the kids who are punching each other. We are talking about CHILDREN pleaseeeee can you imagine this kids in high schools?? 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child was injured on their 6th day attending. I've demanded an incident report in regards to the matter, only for everyone to COWER behind their clipboards. I've contacted the risk management team, Maria Vazquez, and even Rocky Hanna. I'm sick of being given the run around all in the name of hurricane Ian generating a backlog of paperwork. How hard can it be to complete one incident report and render it unto me!? These impudent fools believe that this lack of transparency will only seek to protect them from liability. Yet, instead it only solidifies their intent to put their students AT RISK at the cost of tax payer money.
