James E Plew Elementary School

I have been a teacher for 26 years and have only been at Edge for 2 years. It really is an amazing school. Children are respected at Edge and they are heard. That is one of the many things I love about the school!

I never thought I'd say this about a school, but it's straight up terrible. I hold my kids accountable for everything they do, but there's only so much they can accomplish unless they have the resources/support to help them. We took every possible avenue except for going to the school board. I am glad that we're PCSing to a better location with better school districts.

After having our kids in Rocky on the crestview campus for 5 years, I have to say I wish we never enrolled here. They don't walk the walk and at the end of the day, are only out to watch for themselves. If you're a family with multiple kids enrolled and one child has an issue, they WILL kick the entire family out. You heard that right. They will expel all kids within the family through an email without much of an explanation. The way they handle situations is sadly far from the ungodly facade that Rocky is all about. They are only there to cover themselves if an issue arrives. If your child is perfect, then you have nothing to worry about-that is, unless until your other child makes a mistake and then you're all out. Enroll with caution. The superintended himself Michael Mosley has not much to say about anything and doesn't seem to run the school in a professional fashion. Who really runs Rocky?

I believe it will be great if the teachers can provide more productive feedback. They often make a definite end statement on our precious children that they do not have hope but I do not believe that. I honestly think that our children are getting more bored instead of getting productive teaching, affection and learning.

St Paul Lutheran Church and School is an amazing Christian school that truly teaches to the whole child. My daughter loves going to school every day and has received fantastic education academically and spiritually. The classes are kept small so students get a lot of one-on-one attention. The teachers care about each child's growth and recognized my daughter's individual needs. Also, the school director at the helm of it all is a smart, thoughtful, Christian woman and I respect and admire her guidance of this great and growing school!

Overall, this school is fantastic and pushes my bright child like nothing we have ever experienced. It’s the projects and long term planning and commitment where this school really shines. Real world skills are being formed at a young age, and they’re able to see difficult, big tasks aren’t roadblocks in life! The “new” principal is turning things around & the PTA has grown back, stronger than ever!
