The administration of the school is terrible. They do not value the hard work of teachers. If you are a new teacher, think 100 times before you teach at Van E. Blanton. Go to another school because in this one you will work extremely hard and at the end of the year, they are going to tell you good bye without telling you thank you for your hard work. On top of that when another school that you apply requests the recommendation of your previous principal, the principal of the school is going to make very negative comments about you. It does not matter how hard you work at Van E. Blanton because the principal does not like hard working teachers. She will make fun of you at the end. Run, run, run!

My experience with the school I feel like they racial profile if you not of language they treat your kids different and I feel that my kids went there like three years and they didn’t learn anything. The teacher had no interest in them they have a favoritism and I don’t think that’s fair for kids. That’s in. The class they don’t reach out to the parentsto even to communicate with the parents to see if they could get a child to do better or score batter or even learn something could get in a better level in my opinion this is the worst school I ever let my kids attend to, and I would not recommend.

This school is the absolute worse! The school provides a very unsafe environment and no one cares!! All the principal knows how to do is write referrals and suspend kids! If you care about your kids safety and education do not send your kids to this school! It is the absolute worse! My child will be attending another school next year for sure! Worse k-8 in dade county!

the star is for closing at 7pm and the school remain open certain holidays! I paid so much money for my daughter to attend this school for daycare when she was 3 and VPK aftercare when she turned 4. Her teachers are hard to find and they never contact the parent. My daughter never been to a field trip her whole vpk year and I would NEVER reccomend anyone to this school. My daughter still has never recieved her completion of VPK certificate since the graduation ceremony 05/21/2012 and no one can explain why I havent recieved it yet.....HORRIBLE SCHOOL!!!! Ive never seen a child complain about her teacher everyday...and she's only 4
