Sabal Point Elementary School

Excellent school, excellent teachers & excellent administration. This is my second child graduating from FCE and they have all received a great education and always excellent communication from the school. Many activities, science fairs, plays, shows, active PTO & FCE Spirit nights for parents to interact with school and staff. Some of the 1 & 2 star reviews are embarrassing both for the writing and pettiness. FCE has a policeman who doubles as the crossing guard and no longer allow parents to cut through the car line to get their child because they are too lazy to wait in line. This is for everyone’s safety & thanks to FCE & the police of Altamont are keeping us safe!

My child has special needs and was constantly mistreated by the special ed teacher, bullied, and even spit on by a student. The admin staff and his teacher turned a blind eye to our complaints. Even when my child told me the teacher was there and witnessed everything. They also do not support black students the way they do the majority races..... The test scores attests to that. Parents of black students, do not put your child/children in this environment because they will be racially profiled, disregarded, and mistreated. When you voice your concern, they will pretend to investigate the matter just to cover themselves and will after tell you that they found nothing.

I used to be a student here from kindergarten till the end of 7th grade. It was a good experience but the only concern is, is that there is barely any discipline for kids in classes and the school would not do anything for loopholes found by students. There was a website where they could enter a YouTube link and watch the video. I remember telling my teachers about this because it seemed like it was getting out of hand and they just said, “I know” like what the heck. Good school, just some bad things.

My son was at the school for several years and we left this year. He enjoyed his experience, but it did not end well. The administration is very unapproachable. The teachers are constantly absent and random subs are thrown into the classrooms. One of the biggest issues at the school is that staff students aren’t held to the same standards as others. Open a yearbook- the staff children are everywhere in it. This is a problem with many parents at this school and has been voiced to administrators many times. The staff children also win awards when they aren’t deserving. It’s very deflating to others who work hard and are more deserving.
