Read what parents are saying about Jupiter Middle Schoolit is amazing would recommend this school since it is so good best school ever definitely am not being forced against my will to say this by a teacher
Posted by a parent on 2/2/2023This school is a grade "A" based on test scores. My child is a student at JMS. They get bullied daily. I am disappointed about how the school addresses this. The VP's response was "I know the kids are mean, they are mean to me too." A counselor told me my child doesn't know how to "properly label bullying". My child has been told "We are understaffed, and I can't help you." When my child tried speaking to a teacher about an incident the response was "Just go back to your seat and do your work!". My child is now in private counseling once a week. I hope they can learn some coping skills because it's very clear that the school doesn't care. No complaints about the curriculum, we are pleased with this.
Posted by a parent on 11/30/2022I'm really not sure what some of these reviewers are talking about. Jupiter Middle School is an A School. It's safe, the academics are great, the teachers are wonderful, the administration is attentive and cares, the guidance counselors and deans are amazing. My child has received a top notch education. Middle school is by it's nature a tough time for adolescents. I wish that wasn't the case, but it is. I think with that in mind, JMS is awesome. These reviewers should visit some other middle schools in the district to put things into perspective.
Posted by a parent on 11/23/2022This school is the worst school every kid is rude, disrespectful and the kids bully not one person in this school is kind the Teatcher's are even worse they do not teach they only talk about them self they have other jobs they teatch you about instead of what the yare suppost to be teaching the kids are afraid to stand up to the teatchers there are gun threats every month in the bathroom or even on the desks the classes that are meant to be advanced are not the school has way to many kids in it. WORST SCHOOL EVER.
Posted by a parent on 11/3/2022Unfortunately the principal doesn’t take incidents seriously. Neither do teachers. There were two incidents I’m aware of where the police didn’t get involved and they tried to sweep them under the rug. 1 was a kid getting cut several times by another student with keys in the gym feet from my child. Another was my own child being attached, which I have video, and 3 teachers watching without apprehending or intervening. The principal never called me. She called my husband but left no message. She sent me an email after she called my sons grandmother.

Another mom switcher her child to Lighthouse because of special needs services and can attest to how much better the teachers, class sizes and resources are here.Parent Review1y ago - William T. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can’t speak to the school after admittance but the entire admittance process was absolutely terrible. They are completely judgmental and rude and I would never send my children there after the way they were talked about and talked to. So much for catholic kindness and acceptance.Parent Review8mo ago - Jupiter Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children attended JCS upon our move to Florida. One has gone through k-12 and the other 4 -12.My husband and I were pleased until 7th / 8th Grade. The Lower School was a loving and caring environment and the teachers were great. Once in the Middle / Upper School , everything changed. I cannot even begin to tell the absolute mess that the Upper School is. I know I am speaking for just myself , but please *know there are many others that have had the same experiences *. I am going to share hard facts here, with no exaggeration. - More teachers that I can even believe are unhappy there. The amount of teacher turnover is immense. Also, which surprised me very much, more then a handful of teachers blatantly shared that they were way underpaid and unappreciated, and shared this continuously throughout the year. This is NOT the kind of information that should be shared and the negativity reflected in our children's views of the school. One teacher even shared that she was well off enough to not even have to work so the terrible pay didn't matter, she was only there for the love of the students. - Turnover of President, Principal and Vice Principal is unlike anything I have even seen. ( We have two older children that went through NJ and PA school systems ). This is a huge problem for JCS. There was a serious issue at the end of the school last year. We were told the student would be placed on probation ( last day of school ) only to find out that he was never disciplined at all. - Teacher and Faculty students are 100% given special treatment, and get away with little to zero discipline. Please hear me when I say this. This is FACT. - PLEASE hear me when I say this. JCS does *not* abide by the laws in place for Anti Bullying (Florida Statute 1006.147, also known as The Jeffrey Johnston Stand Up for All Students) . My daughter was aggressively bullied in school and online by a male student *leader* over the course of 2 years. We followed protocol in reporting. We were told that "he's a good kid". We were told that my daughter was "over reacting" . Guidance never even took time to follow up. She became a different young woman, She was humiliated by this student during classes and then also by a teacher. Meetings with the Principal and President were shocking. ** NO ONE CARED ABOUT MY DAUGHTER**. I was bullied by the President himself ( wish I recorded )***. ( I filed police report ). Please, PLEASE know these are facts.Parent Review1mo ago - Turtle River Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter researching this school and hearing such wonderful things, I did not hesitate to send my child here. I am only familiar with the East campus as my child attended school here from 3-6 years old. I really did love their approach to learning and how they claim to provide an open and supportive environment for children that suites their needs, at their own pace. But I do believe parents need to be warned about this campus and the director/owners that are running it. I do not believe they have their best interest in the children and their educational setting. I do believe that they have wonderful, nurturing, some- educated teachers however, I believe the director of this school consistently is failing the children and families that attend this campus. There is a list of red-flags with the director that oversees this campus and the beautiful children that are in it. I have experienced a lot within my 3 years sending my child here and most of my issues had to do with the decisions that the ‘director’ in charge was making. My first concern with this school this year (August 2023) was that my child’s classroom did not have working A/C for the first two-weeks of the school year (August in FL). The director did not notify any parents of this issue, continued to let our children (4-6 years of age) stay in the hot classroom. On top of this, parents should be aware that NONE of the windows in this building are capable of opening (old-school building) and there was one door inside that classroom that lead to the outside. The director took it upon herself to take out the door that lead to the outside and create a make-shift plug in air-conditioner to cool down the classroom. Now, not only where the parents of this class not notified, but it was also a concern for a fire hazard and safety issue, the environment of the classroom was completely not safe- how will my child get out of the classroom if there was a fire or emergency? When you are paying so much in tuition, you would think such a private school would have safety down but they DO NOT and that is my biggest concern with this campus, as I encountered multiple unsafe encounters during my time here- car break ins, no cameras that are recording/actually work, no security guard (that is new). FYI- be veeeerrrrryyy cautious if thinking about sending your child here!! Luckily, Jupiter FL is filled with a lot of great schools, so you DO have options!Parent Review2mo ago
