Beacon Cove Intermediate School

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this school, my son was able to walk out of school. They don’t put them in the right classes that he needs. He has a condition, And my daughter, she was lost in a field trip. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to the school. I haven’t felt satisfied or safe towards that School.

This school is truly amazing! The teachers are caring and dedicated, and Mrs. Montez goes above and beyond to be engaged, responsive, and accommodating. My kids thrived here, and their progress is noticeably ahead of other kids their age. We were considering private school and are very happy we gave this public school a shot.

i count my blessings that my child was able to go to Timber Trace. He had several teachers who had Masters degree, one teacher who had PhD. During the pandemic, his Teacher Ms. Martini, was the only reason we were able to make trough the chaos during the pandemic. Classrooms get additional teachers to help students . The school psychologist, speech therapist and the whole ESE team are amazing. They worked very well with my child and us to make sure the student was supported. In the 6 years we spent with them, there was only one teacher who had short temper and was in general not nurturing. She left the next year. I think the principal is amazing, she is at every single event, running around doing lots of hard work. I thank the administration , the teachers, everyone who works in the school for giving us amazing experience. I truly recommend this school.

I had four children attend this school over the course of five years, and for most of that time we had a positive experience. Unfortunately, once new administration took over, the school changed dramatically, and not for the better.The transition in leadership was abrupt and poorly handled, occurring mid-school year without meaningful communication to families. After that point, there was a constant pattern of long-standing teachers leaving suddenly around school breaks and planning days, which created instability for students. The administration consistently lacked grace, empathy, and transparency when parents raised concerns.My interactions with the school’s leadership and front office were deeply disappointing. I was treated with disrespect on multiple occasions, including having a phone call ended abruptly while trying to advocate for my children. Concerns about bullying involving one of my children were brought to the administration and were dismissed rather than addressed. Disciplinary responses felt inconsistent and disproportionate, and there was little accountability or follow-through.This school presents itself as being equipped to support children with unique abilities, but that was not our lived experience. When challenges arose, there was minimal support and a reluctance to acknowledge shortcomings. Communication with the board was also ineffective; attempts to reach out went unanswered, and access to board contact information later became unavailable.Several families, including ours, chose to withdraw their children within the same timeframe, and conversations with other parents revealed similar frustrations. When I informed the school of our decision to leave, there was no effort to understand why or to engage in conversation—only indifference.It is painful to say this, especially because of how different the school once felt, but based on our experience, this environment became dismissive, unresponsive, and emotionally unsafe for families. Parents considering this school should ask hard questions, speak to current and former families, and proceed with caution.
