Whitehouse Elementary School

This school has been extremely disappointing. My child has a speech delay, yet the school has failed to provide speech services, claiming they are understaffed. That is not an acceptable excuse.Communication is virtually nonexistent. Reaching a teacher is nearly impossible despite repeated calls and emails.On top of this, my daughter has been bullied by a male student. I have reported this multiple times, and no action has been taken.I am beyond frustrated. The lack of services, poor communication, and failure to protect my child show a serious lack of accountability and care.

The only students having problems in this school are the ones with parents who do not engage with the PTA, do not motivate and work with their children, and those who prefer to allow their children to act up and blame the school rather than their poor parenting. This is a wonderful and enriching school for those fortunate to attend, regardless of your background. I will remain anonymous but there are many who share my sentiment. Parents lacking their own education have this false sense of entitlement to preferential treatment because they see the school as 100% responsible for the outcome of their child's education, which is false. The teacher is the guide, the parent plays an equal role in this and frankly, too often the parent's aren't involved. My children have been very happy here and made great strides, the teachers should be commended.

I've been going to OPCA for a while now. I can say some of the other reviews are not true. Old Plank is a good school overall and includes learning about the Bible a lot. The only problems I really have are the teachers not wanting to teach. One of them plays videos on the screen instead of teaching the class. The only reason he is a teacher is because the other one left. The substitutes are sometimes people that are still in college and don't even have a degree. They aren't fit at ALL. The Chorus teacher doesn't know how to sing and doesn't teach at all. Other than that, I've had a wonderful time at OPCA. Everyone was welcoming and nice to me. All the teachers are kind and I have someone nice to talk to. OPCA has your back and they show a Christ-Like testimony. I was getting bullied but now that I've opened up, the bullying has lessened. I love Old Plank and recommend it to your student. As a person that currently goes there, I can say it's a safe and friendly environment!

This is my daughter’s folkiest year at Trinity Christian Academy. Well as she was on the Basketball team and I brought up several concerns about the coaching strategies which seem to isolate certain children for whatever reasons. My concerns were dismissed. I was also met by the Assistant Athletic director who stated they can do as they please to the children that attend this school. As this was concerning to have someone like him in any form of leadership I then found out that several teachers have been fired because they were sexting some of the students at the school. It is documented. Even though the teachers had been fired this still concerns me.
