Central Riverside Elementary School

We loved both the gen-ed and dual language Spanish Immersion program for our two kids. You have to go and see it for yourself. Wonderful little neighborhood school.

My son loves his principle and teachers. Beautiful tree lined neighborhood of Murray Hill and a community that truly cares about the students success.

This school has gone through a tremendous transformation. My student always comes home with something that she is working towards whether or not that is the FSA Sticker Sheets, this school even had a homework march madness event. The admin and teachers go above and beyond for their students and are always communicating through DOJO and very helpful. I feel blessed to have such a supportive school behind my child to help her get into a college preparatory middle school. Pinedale is an amazing place to send your kids and I am blessed to have my child grow so much academically and behaviorally from the support of this school.

I don't even know where to start!! The staff is so unprofessional and uncaring to the students. They put on a show for the parents but treat the kids horrible!!! They talk and gossip about the kids like they are the ones in elementary school!!! it makes no sense for adults to act this way!!! The bus situation is a whole other story!!! They wait until hours have past to inform the parents that there isn't a bus available for the children to get home!!! It was 6pm on day when my child got home!! I couldn't get anyone on the phone to tell me anything so I went to the school to find that the Principal was actually there and they just was not answering the phone and for her to tell me "she does not know where the kids are, at 6pm!, and seemed like she wasn't even concerned!!! I would not recommend anyone sending their child to this school!!!!!! Please and Thank!!!!!

I’m a substitute teacher and have always been very respected at this school and the students all want to learn and love the staff.

This is my kids first year there and so far so good. I am going through a financial hardship right now and the school helped me out by giving my kids the things they need for school. (Like the school supplies, uniforms shirts, ties, and socks). I really do appreciate this school and I thank them so much for helping my kids start this school year off the right way! God Bless Them!

RPDS has a wonderful reputation and there are very good reasons to send your child to school there. It is well maintained, warm, and the curriculum is well designed (but not particularly well executed so it seems to be somewhat hit or miss in how many kids get to fully access the curriculum). The parents are highly involved, which is typically the hallmark of a “good” school. They have the structure to give a wide swath of children the kind of support they need to thrive, but the availability of that support is only available if parents “play ball”. It seems parent participation is largely a way to achieve and parse influence.We were disappointed that their self-lauded DEI was for the brochure only. Seems a lot of their advertised programs and tactics are “brochure only”. The staff and administration seem staunchly stuck in the 90’s when it comes to educational and social-emotional learning theories and it’s, frankly, cringy to watch.

I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone my patient was unenrolled for a”false medical document”. However she isn’t listed under mom’s last name if they actually reached out.
