Read what parents are saying about Homestead Middle SchoolI am an 8th grader and i moved from hialeah. The reviews that are shown here ARE correct but wrong too. When i first went there they treated us as nice and really concerned but i left the school 2 days after because students there werent so good as i imagined. They gave an attitude to my dad and treated us badly. I think its because they'll lose money. Instead of asking us what was wrong and at least try to fix the problem they got upset. Now im at gateway k-8 with my sister and it was probably the best choice ive ever done. Campbell drive k-8 is also a good school.
Posted by a student on 3/30/2016As a student attending this school the students fight for some stupid reasons and your most likey to get jump if your not liked and the principal would not do anything but suspended and once there back its back to the same thing!

I like it because the faculty and staff is very concerned with the learning and well being of the students.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son started kinder this year and started without being able to identify letters or numbers. He has excelled drastically within a matter of 3 months, he is now reading fluently. Such a loving environment. The open door policy makes it more like a homey feel. You're always welcome to help and are greeted mostly every morning by the principal. Honestly I am overwhelmed by how amazing this school is! Keep doing a great job!Parent Review7y ago - The Thinking Child Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis “school” is horrible and I am not even sure how they are still open. I sent my son her for VPK and ended up pulling him out after 7 weeks. Immediately after school started I kept getting complaints about my son from his teacher. Little things about how he wasn’t sitting still etc. Well he’s 4 years old and has no interest in school that’s why he’s there to learn. My son started telling me his teacher hated him and would yell at him.I had called the school and spoke with the principal. She was just as nasty as the teacher. She was pretty much implying all the kids should be quiet almost like robots. After the weeks of harassment and complaints from the school I ended up pulling him out. I ended up putting him in another school for VPK and received no complaints and he’s so happy.Parent Review1y ago - Homestead Christian Academy

Daycare is expensive but this school makes it worth every penny, they all really love their jobs and love the kids. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere elseParent Review5y ago - The Thinking Child Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI believe the teaching is very poor, this is the only school that teach mathematics only twice a week. There is no PE, no sports, art. There is not social distance in the pandemic, no cafeteria. The teachers can be great but your system is horrible. In 2021 no Central AC. I believe you are still living in the 50’s. I have been living in USA for 50 years and I have never seen anything like this. You deserve to be reported. I prefer not to talk about the staff!! One day I had to go to the office and I found the principle without shoes and eating in the lobby of the office. I believe that is very unprofessional!Parent Review2y ago
