I Love this school and my teacher

This is a nightmare , I called the school to get some information about the teacher assignment , they don’t know anything about the assignment, I asked to speak to the vice principal, was told she doesn’t have time to speak with me , I left my contact information No one has called me , I’m very disappointed will report them to the board of education.

Great school, faculty, and staff. STEM magnet school with tons of learning activities.

I attended this school for many years and I don’t understand how it hasn’t closed. My only fond memories are of Friday masses and carnival, they used to have a great priest before he left to another school. From my first year I was bullied tirelessly by the kids for not wearing name brand items— I was 9 and these kid’s parents must’ve been so terrible that they taunted me for not wearing Justice clothes or Nike shoes. I was also bullied for speaking Spanish. They are not inclusive of Latino children since their “99% Latino population” loves to pretend they’re white and better than everyone. We had one black student during my 6 years there and about two special needs children who were both bullied to the point of withdrawal as well. The curriculum is poor and does not prepare children for high school. I had a teacher so awful (she’s now retired) that I had to attend summer school for math because of her poor teaching and got straight A’s in summer school (taught by a different teacher.) I can only hope the new principal turns it around but I see a lot of the same teachers still there and they were mostly not good educators. I also gave a low rating for social-emotional support because the few times I went to the guidance counselor for real issues and reported instances of bullying I was made to feel like I was the problem and sometimes the people I mentioned in confidence were brought into the room to “sort things out” which only increased the bullying I experienced. There are better schools for your money out there.

This school provides a family environment. My son is in high school he is part of their Dual Enrollment program. They guide him through the complete process. I am very happy with his progress. I highly recommend this school.
