Boca Ciega High School

My son just transferred out of the first grade there. He was experiencing bullying that we were not being made aware of by staff. I feel bad for the kids who he was dealing with. Because their behavior was learned behavior. He dealt with issues for being white. Which we don’t see color in my house. These were issues I never dreamed of my first grader dealing with. I’m happy he’s out and will be in a safe environment.

This is by far the worst school i have had the unfortunate necessity of dealing with. In the past 15 years dealing with kids progressing through school....never in my life have i seen such a horrible disregard and disorganization. My child is loudly bullied regularly because she has tan skin instead of black. The administration does not return phone calls about bullying nor do they care. The principal and assistant principal are paid to either not show up or lock thenselves away and not pay attention to what is going on around them. According to the written county statutes on student progression my child should be passing to the next level, the school feels they dont have to follow it and want to retain my child. Not happening. Im reporting this school to the national organization for bullying and to the pinellas county school board. Your child us better served by sitting at home rotting their brains on tv than by going to this school.

This is by far the worst school I have ever sent my child. There is daily violence and overall unacceptable behavior in the students. The kids who want to learn can’t due to the poor atmosphere. The teachers are great and very supportive but unfortunately the kids seem to be ruling the school here. 100% don’t recommend sending your child to this school. Luckily we don’t have to go back next year.

Our twin boys have attended this school since kindergarten and are now in the 2nd grade. They’ve been in separate classes each year, so we’ve gotten to know 6 teachers- each of whom are FANTASTIC. We have never once regretted our decision to apply to Jamerson as our first choice school. I can’t say enough great things about this school- teachers, administrators, parents and other students are all fantastic. Our boys truly love going there and we love it for them.

This school is truly something special — it feels like a real community. From day one, everyone has taken the time to get to know not just our daughter, but our entire family. The level of care and support is incredible.Our daughter comes home from school happy, engaged, and excited about what she’s learning. She literally begs to go to school — even on the weekends!The environment they create allows children to grow, learn, and truly thrive. The teachers genuinely care, the administration genuinely cares, and it shows in everything they do. Every morning, they stand outside to greet each student by name, ask personal questions about their day, and make them feel seen. I’m constantly amazed at how much they remember — but it’s clear it’s because they truly care and genuinely love our children.We couldn’t imagine a better place for our daughter. This is hands down the best school ever.
