ABES is a great school. Seems like ratings are not reflecting good work by Teachers, Staff, Parents and importantly students. Put your kids here, you will not regret it.

5/5 – A School That Truly CaresI have two children currently attending Doby Elementary, and I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we enrolled, the teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to make our family feel welcome and supported. Communication is top tier — whether it’s updates from the classroom, school-wide announcements, or personal check-ins, we always feel informed and connected.The dedication of the staff is evident in how much my kids enjoy going to school each day. They’re not just learning; they’re thriving. I’m already looking forward to my youngest joining the Doby family in the future!

I feel like this school has failed my child in many ways. From below average test scores among all of his classmates to an awful discipline system. There is no reason my son should come home almost every day with a new story of another student getting in trouble because they had to use the restroom or talking during lunch. Since when has the lunch room become a correctional institution? My child attended Doby and LLT for Kindergarten/1st grade and was average on test scores. He also enjoyed school at the time. Come 2nd grade, he transferred to Belmont since it was the closest school and that's when the troubles began. Test scored plummeted, no desire to learn or go back the next day, constant complaints about remarks teachers make, kids fighting and clearly bullying on the walk home right outside of the school. I wish I was exaggerating but drive by the school once they release the walkers and see it for yourself. It's a shame honestly. I wish I had better things to say about this school but that's just the reality of it.

York is an excellent school! Students thrive and teachers are loving and caring towards others. My child loves going to this school.I would 100% recommend!
