This was one of the best schools we took our child to. We have been to 3 other schools, 4 in total, and our child learned the most, was the most well behaved, the teachers were the most engaged and respectful and he was definitely loved the most. We moved back to CA and we miss this school the most!

Posted by a parent on 9/30/2023Caring, nurturing, and organized environment. It has been such a great place for my two kids. They have kind teachers and staff that personally know your children. Lot's of afterschool activities/sports that come to the school which is great. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone!

They were not allowed to play in the playground. They sent a note to everybody i was clearly goaled. But there is other to do that . I m happy that i left this school.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a current teacher and Alumni of CGHS, this is, without a doubt, the worst school I have ever taught and studied at. The primary factor for this is the teachers, especially Diana Van-Wyk. She is the "IB Coordinator" of the school, who demonstrates clear favoritism, laziness, apathy, and sexism. As a counsellor and coordinator of such a prestige program such as the IB, I would expect her to care for her students and support them fully through their academic journey, as would most people. However, since she has joined this school years ago, I have seen a noticeable decline in student mental health, overall happiness, and communication with teachers. This is what inspired me to become a teacher, so I could be everything she isn't. Furthermore, I have received multiple student complaints about her, and her failure of communication as well as her stubbornness. I don't think she understands that the students she deals with are socially maturer than most, perhaps indicating why she refuses to admit she's wrong. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTheir 2nd location in West Kendall off SW 88th Street and SW 162nd Avenue is great! Convenient hours, friendly staff, and clean classrooms and hallways. My daughter has been going there since she was 8 months and the staff has been so caring and wonderful to her. This school has very affordable tuition prices along with Step Up scholarships that help cut tuition costs tremendously. There is a capital campaign to build a new multipurpose center. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's hard to imagine a better environment for the kids. They do have strong academics, but what I appreciate the most is the concern with the kids "holistic growth" - values, music, community involvement, healthy eating. Kids don't get overworked.
