School has 20 minutes of recess from 1st to 4th grade at the same time first thing in the morning. Posted by a parent on 9/6/2025My daughter went kindergarten through 5th grade - just graduating this year. The teachers, front desk, consolers and PTA were all wonderful. We loved our time at Winston Park Elementary School!

Posted by a parent on 9/20/2022Extremely difficult because of the reasons given. Teachers are not shown respect. They don’t even have enough parking for the teachers after the parents are allowed to park anywhere and not use the car lines. Administration has let this continue for years. Principal says teachers should get to work

I love their security system it makes me feel that my kids are extremely safe in there. We deeply regret sending our child to this school.After we withdrew and enrolled him elsewhere, we were shocked to discover how far behind he was academically. He had been placed in higher-level classes, but at the new school he was immediately downgraded after testing because he simply didn’t have the knowledge. That was a huge wake-up call.Academic quality is inconsistent at best. Some teachers are good, others have attitude and low expectations. Leadership feels extremely weak and lacks direction.The business office is a total mess.The student culture was another major concern. Many kids are status-focused, materialistic, and exclusionary. Bullying and social pressure are real issues. If your child is kind, sensitive, or academically motivated, this may not be a healthy environment. We saw negative changes in our own child.Food is poor, uniforms were downgraded to cheap polyester, and overall standards seem to be slipping.Elementary may be fine, but middle and high school were extremely disappointing for us. The teachers here model kindness, tolerance for differences, and appreciation of individuality, and the students follow their lead. Bullying is not a problem here. The school takes a strengths-based approach to learning. Class sizes are small, and the teachers individualize the curriculum to ensure that every student is suitably challenged without being set up to fail. All types of learners are welcome. The staff here seems to truly believe in and be invested in the work that they do. The principal even makes a homemade lunch for the kids once a week.
