Posted by a parent on 11/28/2022So far we have been pleased. Our child is doing great and is transitioning well from elementary school. The teachers he has have been pretty good with communication. The school as a whole however needs to work together to ensure parents are getting information in a timely fashion in regards to after-school events.
Posted by a parent on 1/9/2019As a graduating student from Nature Coast Technical High School I began to look back at my past educational institutions with regards to how well they've prepared me for the next level. Looking at Parrott Middle School as a whole it has prepared me for everything I could ever encounter at the high school level. They always had classes for the advanced or gifted, the staff was always went above and beyond to help you educationally because that is what they are paid to do. Parents need to realize though that bullying occurs at every school no matter public or private, help your kids past it and they will learn to be tougher, cause lets face it the real world isn't nice and nobody is gonna call your mom when your boss is rigid or your coworkers are "mean." And anyone who questions how well this school actually prepared me, I have a 4.2GPA, have received my associates degree, 3 industry certifications in the medical field, and was accepted to USF in less than two weeks after applying. "You can't help those who don't want to learn, and you can't stop those that strive for educational success."
Posted by a community member on 5/27/2014Rude office staff and lack of correction in class, hard to learn is a result of this.
Posted by a teacher on 4/16/2014This school needs alot of improvement, starting with the rude office staff.. They do not want to talk to you when you come in. It is impossible to get the teachers to give your child make up work. And most parents would love for the child to not have any homework, but my child hasn't had homework once, when asked some teacher at open house about homework, one response said why bother the kids won't do it anyways! Teachers dont care here, just there for a paycheck, not for the childrens education!! My child will NOT be there next year!!!!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff and environment is positive and great. However, the building and grounds are in very bad shape. I went in to a teacher conference and was saddened by the state of the buildings and lack of care. It’s clearly been neglected for a long time. The School Board and Superintendent should be ashamed. That aside, the teachers, front office, and staff are fantastic. They create a positive learning environment for my children.Parent Review1y ago - Hernando High School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended MSC for all of my K-8 years except for K4 and 4th Grade. MSC is a small school, but the quality of education delivered is superior to all other schools in the area. The English and Literature programs are well above average, and the Math and Science areas are also beyond compare. As tuition fees go, the price of this education is far below what it should be. The teachers and staff work tirelessly to fulfill needs of students. The atmosphere is very inviting, and the students, on the whole, are generally very kind and respectful to their teachers and peers. I highly recommend this school for any family looking to give their child an academic edge over the average student or any family looking for a safe environment for their children to attend school. MSC has prepared me beyond well enough for high school and has enabled me to excel in ALL areas. I am currently taking two honors classes, one AP class, and no below average courses. I am currently a junior in high school, and I plan to greatly increase my number of honors and college classes next year as well. I am also captain of the swim team at my current school, goalie for the soccer team, and a rising tennis player.Other Review12y ago - The First United Methodist School Center
