I graduated from HCHS a long time ago. I wasn't in school in Bonifay from K to 12. Less than 90 students.A lot of students started school together from K - 12. The town still has a lot of students that start together to graduation. Bonifay has a higher graduation rate compared to rest of the state. My take, 2 parent house hold that wants for their kids to succeed. A lot of my friends went into the military and college after school.Bonifay is more of a farm town and a lot of students come from low income families. It is a family town. Very rural town with a low population. You have to travel to Chipley to shop at a Walmart. 50 + miles north or south to go to bigger cities. Bigger is not what you think. A small mall, Sam's Club, and the normal big box stores.I loved living there and go home sometimes to see family. However I went west to work and get my education. Still live in the west and live it Say what you want, but Bonifay has great schools. Stats are just numbers, it doesn't show the real overall student's actual success.
