Lena Vista Elementary School

This school is absolute garbage. My sister is enrolled in this school and the security, everything is awful. The school has gotten several bomb threats and the most they do will be checkups. My sister has been sexually assaulted many times by a classmate who has done the same to other girls. She has told her counselor and a few teachers but they have never said anything about it and have also just told her to "stay away" from him multiple times. The school is also insanely bad with bullying, especially those of the disabled kids. It is also a big problem for kids of other ethnicities and religions, beliefs and orientation. The teachers really do not care about doing their job either and I have also seen that they might use AI. Overall this is not a good school, and our family is thinking of filing a police report against said kid who sexually assaulted my sister and many other girls, and maybe even the school itself. Shame on the teachers for ever letting this happen, please never go to Auburn High School in Florida, it is seriously a bad place and no teacher takes any problem seriously.

Please keep your children far away from this school.

From a special needs mom perspective, I would not recommend this school for special needs children. The school is not supportive when it comes to the educational achievement or advancement of children who are special needs but hide functioning. It’s more like daycare for special needs children. They group all of the children together whether they are low functioning or high functioning and do not provide accommodations like speech therapy, etc. In addition, I feel so excluded from my child educational life due to the fact there is no family engagement or social fellowship.

All the teachers were nice (atleast the ones I got), doesn't discriminate against race, and there was no lockdowns in the 5 years that my child went there. Overall, good school.
