Read what parents are saying about Atlantic Beach Elementary SchoolAtlantic Beach Elementary is an extremely exceptional school. The teachers and staff do a wonderful job of making the students, parents and visitors feel welcome and safe. The classrooms are organized, inviting and well managed. I look forward to volunteering there whenever I can.
Posted by a community member on 3/20/2016What a great little school. It's amazing watching my daughter read and using the reading strategies she has learned from her wonderful kindergarten teacher. Also, the new principal has started some wonderful new traditions, 100 acts of kindness on the 100th day of school, spring pictures on the beach and many other wonderful new teacher and student incentives. So happy to be a part of a great school community.
Posted by a parent on 3/16/2016This school is truly a GREAT comminity school. So great , many families from outside the zone special assign here. This school community (administration, faculty, staff, volunteers) nurture mind , body, and spirit of ALL students & put the safety of students first. And I appreciate all those at ABE who have touched my children's lives.
Posted by a community member on 3/3/2016The teachers, staff, and families at this little beach school are what makes it so great. It's a very enriching, safe, and fun place for kids to learn to be their best selves.
Posted by a community member on 2/29/2016This school is unique. The dedication of teachers, staff, and administration who truly care about the students and each other is what makes it so special. The community feel is obvious immediately upon entering the building. Students are valued and educational experiences are relevant and thought provoking. Students here love to learn and teachers here love to teach!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLack of proper communication.Lack of following procedure that they themselves suggest. If you have a special needs please avoid their CSS and do your research. My son was so frail, thin and covered with bruises from incorrect procedures (have the emails to back this up)If you yourself are a special needs adult this will make it even worse. For your child’s safety and your own peace of mind look elsewhere. My son regressed in feeding, potty and refused any cups. They tried to put multiple changes on him in a short time. I pulled him out early after witnessing with my own eyes them being negligent on school grounds and confirming with his bus that when they pick him up what I saw is what they also see even tho they stated themselves in email it would not occur again. My son has regained his lost weight no longer waking up screaming in terror and is on day three of his sippy cup. I’m autistic myself and I will be a voice to reckon with when it comes to my youngest until he can speak fully for himself. I’ve seen put in the paperwork to transfer him so hopefully I can have peace of mind when he returns to school in the fall. The school was unable to apologize for their actions and instead stated they were sorry for miscommunication to which I said there was none you guys said to do such and such to help the backpack after he was badly bruised from the weight of it on his small body and you guys did not. Since you guys are unable to take responsibility, I have no intentions of letting this go until a formal apology is given for the schools negligence.Parent Review2y ago - Neptune Beach Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 kids that attend Neptune Beach Elementary. One child has an IEP, and we have had a great experience with all of his teachers. The school has been very willing to provide appropriate accommodations so that my child is successful. This school is extremely inclusive. We have never had any experiences with bullying. The other students and general atmosphere have always been extremely encouraging and kind. My other child is in the gifted program. My child goes to the Gifted and Talented Education program (GATE) one day a week. And, the specialized teachers in GATE are amazing. My child enjoys his special GATE day so much. My child has learned public speaking, to research topics, take notes, and to ask insightful questions. My child also receives differentiated work based upon his skill level. I know that we are lucky to have gifted teachers and the GATE program b/c it is not available at all public schools. There are 2 playgrounds and both are a lot of fun. The school provides free breakfast and lunch too. The teachers dress up as fun characters in the car line, and play fun music to welcome the students. The PTA works hard to support the school, and offer fun activities for the kids. I think the pickup and drop off process is extremely efficient and quick. A++ School!Parent Review1y ago - Alimacani Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend the pre k program at Episcopal beaches. The head of the school and prek 3 teacher are rigid, not kind and they lack the capacity of dealing with children's diveristy. They dont work with the parents to see what options that will help to improve the child's learning or behaviour. They expect a prek child to behave like a robot the way they like only. The have a discrimination behaviour toward children and thier families.Parent Review2y ago - Saint Paul's Catholic School
