Read what parents are saying about Drew Elementary SchoolThis is the second year my children will be attending this school. I love the energy, spirit and dedication of the staff to getting the children where they need to be educational wise. This school offer many good programs, dedicated teachers and a wide range of support and low tolerance for bullying! Keep up the good work!!!
Posted by a parent on 8/25/2014I had the pleasure of substitute teaching at Drew ES. I encountered nothing but a dedicated, heartfelt, family oriented staff. The teachers provide an exceptional learning experience for the students and are a great support to one another. if given the chance to return I would gladly accept.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers and staff function in an atmosphere of intimidation by Principal Roper. Principal Roper does not have a highly qualified staff of teachers. As a parent, I did not feel comfortable with my child being in their care and i strongly feel my that my child lost a year due to an unqualified teacher. It's costing me to get my child additional tutoring to catch up. If you want the best that a Ward 7 school elementary school can offer, Burrville ES is not it.Parent Review7y ago - Aiton Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school faces a lot of challenges being located in a neighborhood with such high rates of poverty, but the staff and leadership are incredible. The teachers work overtime to make sure kids feel engaged and excited to learn, and Principal Golden is a dedicated and tireless advocate for her students. Despite the challenges, the school has a number of resources to support families and kind, caring staff who go the extra mile to work with parents and caregivers. It's a truly special community.Parent Review1y ago - Houston Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have to be honest. I was a little suspect about my children going to school in Prince George's County, especially in the Capital Heights area. My children came from Charles County Public Schools. The staff there is very nice and professional. I have heard good things about the school my children are performing MUCH better at the Seat than in their former school. The teacher are very attentive to the students needs. I have a son on an IEP. His teacher was very through in helping him to achieve services that he was not receiving before. The teachers and principal were very open with respect to communication and my children's behavior. I absolutely loved the fact that I could have IEP meetings via phone w/o having to take off from work. Also, I was happy to know that Seat Pleasant Elementary is one of the high performing schools in the area. They really encourage the students in positive ways and my children love going to school. Also, I have decided to put more of an effort in my children's education because you can not expect the staff or teachers to do everything. Learning does start at home! #LoveTheSeatParent Review10y ago - Robert R. Gray Elementary School
