i am student that attends to this school i am in eighth grade and i would highly recommend this school we have a no bullying policy and we learn about the greats in which bullying takes place the teachers are right for the students .

Students do not have structure at this school, visited & it seemed like admin let students roam the halls & horseplay. 3/10 wouldn’t recommend.

This school was amazing. My kids both graduated from Tolson and they have still said to this day that Tolson still helps in there everyday schooling. Tolson is filled with a bunch of awesome teachers as well as a GREAT learning curriculum. I highly recommend this school for parents looking for a new school for their children.

I left this workplace due to serious concerns about leadership, professionalism, and the overall safety of the environment. I experienced behavior from administration that made me feel deeply uncomfortable as a woman, and when I raised those concerns, I felt unsupported and that my work environment became increasingly hostile. Leadership lacks a clear vision for the school, which creates ongoing confusion among staff. Expectations are unclear, communication is inconsistent, and decisions are frequently delayed or left unresolved. As a result, the school is disorganized and poorly managed. There were also patterns of unprofessional conduct that raised concerns about student well-being. Important safety issues involving staff conduct were not addressed appropriately, contributing to a culture where concerns did not feel taken seriously. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this workplace to prospective employees or families looking for a safe, structured, and student-centered environment

During my son's last year at this school (before transferring out), every one of his teachers left in the middle of the school year. I wish we had left earlier. I had great expectations, but it was a horrible experience.

Overall our experience has been great. The teachers truly go the extra mile for all the students, regardless of whether they are behind or advanced. Most of the kids in my child's class are right on grade level and there is also an advanced reading group. My child has loved all of the teachers and also loves the family events. We are so excited and proud to be part of a school that is improving.

After 6 years at ITDS this will be our last. When our youngest started the school felt like an oasis in a sea of mediocre public and charter schools. Now sadly it simply is not what it was. Teacher retention is abysmal, discipline problems are common, students are just generally not motivated to learn especially by the middle school grades. There are some fantastic teachers who are really trying to be creative but thats unfortunately balanced out by inexperienced and under qualified instructors who can’t manage the classrooms.
