This school is amazing for all types of students, the teachers give all of support to students when they are confused with something, so overall I suggest you sent your child here so they will have the support they need.

Most people say that the schools are really bad east of the River, but this is not true, Beers ES is the best Hidden Gem in SE DC. I am loving the academics and staff at the school and hope
Posted by a parent on 10/22/2013I think the school is wonderful with an administration that Rocks! It has a diverse student body with general and SPED children. But the teachers handle it pretty well. I can see how it can be challenging but a very nice school to feel good about.

He did not receive proper therapy that is stated in his IEP, wasn’t notified about this til the middle almost end of school year. I never spoke with the head person of special education, he never responding back to me. I also asked about a promotion for pre-K 3 they stated his last day is this Wednesday because pre-K 4 is having a promotion Thursday and it’s nowhere for him to go in the school! Like I was looking forward to atleast a ceremony like every other school did for my son but no it’s nothing.
