Very troubling that students with very diverse needs would be entrusted to a system with staff that do not meet the minimum standards for the teaching profession. While I like the idea of the Catholic schools, my child's education is way too important to risk on unqualified and poorly trained staff.

Posted by a parent on 6/13/2014while the public elementary schools in Wethersfield have aprox. 65% of students at goal on the CT mastery test, CCS students, while they cannot take the CMTs, they are scoring at 92% at goal on the Iowa tests without any sort of test prep. That alone would be enough for me to enroll my kids there. A

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am really disappointed with how Naylor school is run. They do not hold students accountable for their actions (even physical altercations) instead the principal amd vice principal sweeps it under the rug to avoid bad publicity/conflict. My child has been hit and bullied on multiple ocassions by another student and instead of suspending them, followed by expulsion if it continues, they simply continue to let them come to school because they are afraid of certain parents. I have even spoken to staff and they also agree and even mention that students that hurt staff are not held accountable. Honestly this school needs a revamp. All principals and vice principals need to be fired and new staff with better communication skills and the ability to handle conflict need to be put in place. If you are afraid of parents this is not the job for you. If you are afraid of students this is also not the job for you.My recommendation is to try and apply to programs to other magnet schools in or out of Hartford.
