I am about to graduate SMS and overall its not a horrible school. I will say that if you are in Special Education, the staff is really not train well for it. You will like you need to hold it in and suck up your problems or take it out violently. They do have a nice program called Cougar PRIDE

The staff at Seymour middle school have zero regard for families needs and fail to help students who don't fit their cookie cutter standards, I have been highly disappointed in Seymour middles actions during my children's time there

The teachers, for the most part are encouraging and genuinely care about the students. A few are unqualified in my opinion. Great overall experience. They truly create a community of support for their children. They offer many ways for their students to get involved before and after school. The academic curriculum is very strict and puts responsibility on the child to stay on top of studying even if there is no written homework. The faculty is extremely approachable and open door with all communication. We have love this school for our child.
