Since it is a small school nothing slides by without getting addressed (bullying). My children are challenged and are gaining new skills all the time. I

I also like their recess and that they have some fun in the classroom despite the structure of the day. We also love the community service component. Religious values emphasized but it’s not an overly religious school

The PTO is very active and plans a lot of fun activities for keeping families engaged with the school community. The kids have opportunities to play in the orchestra, band, be in the school musical, and participate in a variety of afterschool activities. Their knowledge and enthusiasm for their work are terrific. Frequent meeting and detailed reporting has helped gauge his progress. The administration has been made aware on many occasions that the girls will verbally and emotianally abuse individuals in certain grades, excluding and taunting. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat place to send elementary-aged children. Unadvisable place to send middle school & up. Horrendous place to work. If you want your child to be coddled into adulthood and enter high school with absolutely no sense of real-world maturity, discipline, responsibility, or respect, this school is perfect for your family. Older students face absolutely no consequences from admin for any disrespectful behavior, nor for LITERAL violence. Their concern for keeping parents happy & money flowing is obviously greater than their concern to keep students safe, which is reason #1 why my kids will no longer be attending this school. Even the educational aspect of this school is clearly low on the priority list - teachers are forced to juggle lesson planning, grading, & teaching with babysitter-like "clubs," coaching, and multi-day chaperoning all at no additional benefit. NCCS is a beautiful school that evidently has a greater focus on early childhood education (which truthfully it seems to do very well.)
